Where rhe push2 is really handy in arrangement view ist automating. as you can map funcrions from ANY plugin to the encoders, it is awesome to recoed automations live by using encoders and the push-screen. while drawing in automations with the pen-tool is helpful for big transitions, it is the small amount of automation of certain elements. being able to do this while listening instead of watching was my mouse does, is really helpful and leads to much better musical sounding results imho.
@@Crispybeats.Yes but those are limited by the hardware it's built on. Push 2 is limited by the hardware it's connected to. That's a big difference too. But agreed Push 3 seems very cool. Maybe when it's cheaper I'll pick it up
Yeah man I'm the same, do most of my producing in arrangement view, that's what kept me from getting this so far but I'm sick of keyboard and mouse and I cant find a controller better suited for live.
there is a push 2 i am going to go look at today after work. Guy is selling it for 70 buckaroonies USD and i am stoked. i had a push one that i loved, though i sold it since it sat for a while and i wanted the 2.
My brother, of course! Akai has dominated the beatmaking industry for so long and for all good reasons! But if you prefer to work in a DAW, then I figure the push is a better match!
Yeah I would say that's a steal, since they are discontinued and people usually try to sell them for at least 350-400. I got one for $240 in great condition. For what it does, that price makes it a great value.
Love it but a bit too big so I tried to reduce it by cutting off a section and now it doesn't work at all. The manual doesn't say anything about not cutting a piece off.
Like Push 2, Push 3 has never been designed for Arrangement View. For the simple reason that nothing beats mouse and keyboard when working in Arrangement View.
My producer buddy I've worked with for years has been offering me a Push 2 for 500$. Never owned one. Worth it for no for a person really enjoying Ableton's workflow close to a year in?

Yes I fully agree!
Got a Push 2 for $200 and couldn’t be happier 😊 4:44
fire mannnn
I wonder if it is relevant to combine this device with other hardware for hybrid setup
You can 100% arrange from session view and do it in a way more creative, fun, and in the moment type of way.
I'm a Push 2 owner and love using it. The Push 3 seems cool enough, but not sure if it would be a massive jump worthy of dropping 2k.
Yeah I thought the same but I haven’t tried it so it so who knows. To be fair the standalone features are super dope imo!

Are these good for beginners? I’ve used fl studio in the past and enjoyed arranging music using my eyes but would like to expand my creativity.

I have an old push 1, is it worth upgrading to 2?
Of course I got in really good condition from eBay for 300 euros and I don't regret it 😊
Nice one! That’s a great deal
Love it. Expect to rebuy before the new year!
Sick man! Glad you are going back to it!
Would you ever recommend the akai ramge of products?
