I’m in a really bad spot right now. Life really feels like it’s going down hill. I’ve made some really stupid mistakes. I’m in my 40s and it’s like I’m doing the dumbest things still and it may unravel everything I’ve worked for. I feel like a failure and always have. I pray to God for His mercy and strength. I don’t want to be shamed in front of my family and friends. I don’t want to fall apart. I want another chance. I want to make things right.

Never been to a club really and I’m 43 hanging with a new friend in Montreal and been to a few so far with him. Having a drink. Waitress is a beautiful girl. I say this because I almost fell into serious sin 2 days before at a similar place. I want to have a drink with my new buddy. Taking him to Mass tomorrow Sunday. Still, I’m walking a tight rope drinking a whisky and looking at this girl. I don’t even know what I’m talking about but I will pray for you. Please keep praying for me.
God loves you and hears your prayer. Tell Him you know “it” was wrong and that you’re sorry and that with His help you hope to never do it again. And then take action to make sure you’ve changed. Like go to church more, pray constantly, kneel down and ask for help. Ask people to pray for you. If it’s addictions then there’s a 12 Step program for that. Get help. Ask for help. Remember, God created you to love you.

God granted our petitions thru his powerful intercession: led my 3 children to good loving spouses; always accompanied us in travels and heals us. May more believers rely on St Raphael, StMichael and St Gabriel for promot intercession with our Lord God.

Let us pray that the Day of the Holy Holy Holy Almighty Creator is at hand! I was raised Lutheran, and our version of the Holy Bible included Tobit... for the longest time, I thought everyone's did. I was saddened to find out how many people miss out on its message of hope and joy and the story of Holy Archangel Raphael. We can all feel so lonely and desolate at times, but the Holy Heavenly Host is with us when beseech in Holy Jesus's name. All the blessings be upon you.

Accidentally flipped to the book of Tobit and had no idea who that was or that it was even in my Bible! Looked it up to see who he was and here I am! Cool. I think it is beyond cool that Catholics and Orthodox brothers in Christ continue to read from the Deuterocannonical books. The Protestants are catching on. We as a body of Christ are rediscovering our mutual heritage. Thank you for this public sharing.

Read Deuteronomy 32:8-9 and v 43 comparing the DSS and LXX and Masoretic. If your faith still is affirmed after that, let me know how and why.

You can find Christ in the story of Tobit, the best New Testament revelation in the old testament: The father sends his son into the heathens, the marriage (Church-Christ), the return of the son. You can almost entirely understand the NT by reading Tobit, but it needs the wisdom of the Holy Ghost that not many are blessed with. Jesus, I Trust in You.
In a lot of scenarios us followers of Christ are on the edge because of the fallen angels spiritually afflicting us. It is not easy being a faithful servant to the Lord, remember that He promised suffering for those who follow Him.
That never happened that is a baby story fictional at its best. Is so not true that even Jesus never mentioned from it nor spoke of it. Please sir tell the true to your listeners

The closes to the original is the ESV. The only reason tobit and the others were taken out was because they are not gospel nor were they written by the apostles.. They are stories of believers. No need to be in the gospels. You can read it on the side, but what's the point. At least acts tells us about the holy spirit on the day of pentecost. And the spread of the first church. All the other books are not gospel.

St Paul consider himself as a spiritual Father in the New Testament and I believe you are miss interpreting Our Lord Jesus Christ. If you have children are you not the father of those children or does your children not have a mother and on the birth certificate does it not say Father? In the Old Testament God was known by many names. I Am who I Am, The God of Abraham, Isaac And Jacob.
