that was an insane slugfest. like, instead of the zerg trying to out strategize him, he just went with brute force mootas. it was like watching a fighter who never blocked any punches.. just took punches straight to the face and ignored them as if they didn't hurt at all. that was really fun to watch
I'm surprised by the decision to go for vessels instead of valks, considering the number of mutas and how they don't need to stack like they do vs SK style.
Because only muta strategy make a lot upgrades, so valkerys lose a lot damage points, and no they are expensive. When he has mass mutas they stack anyway.
Seen that amount of mutas @12:45? Wonder what would happen, if someone made a balance patch and increased the size of mutas to large, like every other flier in the game. Hmmm!
Whenever I see a top tier player lose a match, one of the most common contributors to their defeat was the loss of an expansion that was not secured properly before workers were sent in. In this game I counted at least 2 Command Centers that got blown up for no reason whatsoever.
Artosis should have produced a fleet of Valkyries along with the support of many goliaths on the ground. These would altogether present a hard, devastating and powerful anti-air counter and answer to the opponent's choice to have an overwhelming swarm of mutalisks.
Eh, not exactly. Its a measure of "turns" it takes to refresh a connection between players. Thats the number part. The right side represents the latency (this is adjustable sometimes in the options)
Doesn't have the APM. Even on 2 bases, you'll see multiple times nearly every game he goes back to his main CC and 4 scvs are sitting there idly not having been touched after production. He claims toss and zerg are shit races but is carried by the turtling capability of terran and the efficiency of siege tanks.
i bet he just didn't think of it. the science vessels were the only thing he thought of for splash.. i'll bet just 6 valks would've evaporated that whole flock of mootas
@@flappy7373 ya probably just habit. You’ll sometimes see terrans make a couple valkyries to complement bio when Zerg goes heavy on mutas early in the game. I’ve never seen that many mutas that late in a game. Vessels get more value in the long run against a normal unit comp so arty was probably making them on auto pilot. 6 valks will shred mutas insanely fast
Valks can still be vulnerable to a scourge flank. There's also no guarantee his opponent stays on muta if Artosis switches to talks. We even see at the end that the Zerg player added in hydras. Irridiate is very good vs muta, he just didn't get the clumps he needed to do major damage.
I guess he could, but then he'd have to get ship weapon upgrades to respond to the mutalisk carapace. You have to take into accound that terran wants strong ground army upgrades in the event that the zerg does a hydra switch. Also, once artosis makes a threatening number of valkyries (like, say, about 8, any less and well-microed scourge+muta will take care of it no problem), zerg could just adapt by making ground units and now terran will have trouble balancing gas expenditure for valkyries and ground army. I'm not 100% sure how going valkyries would have played out to be honest. 2 base terran is very strapped in terms of gas spending, they need to spend the gas carefully and wisely.
No expansion beyond second, no valks, little to no vulture harass until it's far too late, ok I can see now why he thinks toss is broken. The dude has to be more flexible and has to make smarter choices. Mechanical skill he's not bad, but his decision making and lack of adaptability are holding him back from being a really solid player.
Baffling that Artosis didn't make Valkyries instead of science vessels. Also, I can't help but notice that Artosis never realizes when a game is lost. He'll stay for 10 or even 15 minutes after a game is hopelessly lost all the while feeling tortured like he actually thought he stood a chance. I like do to that to my enemies in fact.. even when it's obvious I've won and could easily finish them, I'll savor their hopelessness and FORCE them to eventually quit.
Vaks lose a lot damage points vs mass upgraded mutalisk and no mineral, vessels was right choice, but in last big battle he manage the vessels very bad
wow i thought for sure he would shit on the mutas with the science vessels, I guess when i fight mech i need to just mass mutas and win! Unless terran makes a valky then gg
With focus fire u will win the first battle, and that splitting after irradiate, fuckin insane. I wonder how useful, in this situation, and it is a rhetorical question, 5 valkyries will be.
Actually I am not a good player at this game ... but I have watched a lot of games! I believe that the cause of many of the losses you suffer is the lack of aggression with for example voiture while building your army. Your opponents expand a lot without any opposition, then if they know your weakness they can also afford not to protect the expansions. And you won't be famous as bisu or flash, but you are among the strongest in the usa right? I love to see you while you are raging! Sorry for that ... And I love your new cast channel!
Bro, if you had 8 valks, that woulda been Gg. I know during the game your not really thinking of that. Your focused on more and more Gols, but bro you had it! 8 or so Valks, would ended his shlt.
I think the Zerg has so much economic advantage to a degree that he doesn't care what unit Artosis use. Even he loose all mutas he can still have another army in minutes.

finally some TvZ, recently we've only got TvT or TvP
Instead of the first attack with tanks he should have consolidated a 3rd until he got valks out and pumped double upgrades faster.

I just will never understand with the amount of clicks he's able to manage that a few of those can't go into building a few valks...
2 bases v.s. may be 6 bases ? should have expanded earlier.
And upgrade also
Yeah he definitely needed to keep expanding. Not saying it wouldve been easy but its like he didnt even try to. Edit: until TWENTY minutes in.
bro you probably play like shit, when you can play like him come here and backsit, until then stfu
I like TvZ more than TvP
What is the name of this map?
i think it's Shakuras Temple
This game looked like a zerg toying with someone that thinks they have a chance. Both players messing around a bit and not playing optimally.
Artosis should have produced a fleet of Valkyries along with the support of many goliaths on the ground. These would altogether present a hard, devastating and powerful anti-air counter and answer to the opponent's choice to have an overwhelming swarm of mutalisks.
Except then the zerg rolls out with a flood of lings and obliterates gols and tanks.
2-3 Valkyries would've changed the game in his favor
Artosis is stubborn.
No, vakerys are weak vs mass upgrade mutalisk, they lose damage points for every rocket, and no mineral for valks anyway
GOOD SHOW
Valkyrie prepared...
That was a weird one, how many mutas were in there xD
At least 3.
Yes
Why get a third and fourth base when you can sit on two
