Imagine the Illusive Man's face when he hears about Shepard's death from poisoning. Project Lazarus took 2 years and cost over 4 billion credits. One batarian who killed the galaxy's hope of survival.
Keep in mind: Cerberus resurrected Shepard in an "Enemy of my enemy" bid to stop the Reapers' newest plan for universal domination. They spent a shitload of money on the procedure, and one batarian screwed it all up for them.
My headcanon is that poison resistance, with a focus on alcohol, is exactly where Miranda focused the leftover budget from the Lazarus Project when the Illusive Man told her she wasn't allowed to put a chip in Shepard. There honestly is no other explanation why Shepard is able to drink ryncol and survive. 🤣🤣Lawson did her homework, read the files and prepared. She fully expected this to happen.

I an reminded of the time i used the Cain in the ship cargo hold fight in the suicide mission. I blew myself up, but the cutscene for clearing the phase continued for a bit before cutting off with the game over screen. As everyone was hitting the ground. It was like i discovered an alternate fail screen.😅
This was the first time I decided to drink in the game and I remember my thought being. 'Wow, I finally decide to treat myself and fucking die.' Lmao I don't think I trusted drinking much more after that unless it was on the Normandy.
For what.i get. He received some upgrades. Maybe some kind of poison resistence in the process? Would explain this and the sedative scene on the arrivel dlc...
The most common theory is that since it's unlikely his liver would be intentionally as deteriorated as it was for someone that age with that history of drinking, his body is just ever so slightly more likely to handle a poison that was intentionally made to be juuuuuuust a little over the lethality line. It's a throwaway line, but someone mentions passive poison detection in omega, which hints that the poison used here might be just under the line to be detected but over the line to be likely to kill humans/batarians. So that tiny little bit of new-ness might have been just enough to tip the scales in his favor. The second most widely accepted theory is that shep is absolutely a krogan that got hit by a truck and reincarnated as a human with all the krogan-benefits from the first life. Besides this, he also set a high score from his n7 training where he is on an asteroid for way longer than he has food for. Kinda like having a nutrient hump. Is it stupid and nonsensical? Yes. Will I concede it's not way better of an explanation for half his crazy antics? Not even a little.

Actually, they could try again)
After all they done to rebuild him simple ressurection will be pretty cheap

Miranda's like "IS HE STILL UNDER WARRANTY?!?!"
😂🤣👏👏
If your Shepard died in the first 48 hours after first waking up you get a free clone to replace them.
Illusive man: As the manufacturer, you tell me!
Quickly turn on the clone!!

shepard was brought back to life wich costed alot of money just go get drunk and die :D
Yep! 😂👌

Rest in peace Shepard. 🤣😂
😂👏. R.I.P 😆
Seems like this had happened to him before ☠
Illusive Man: “ *sigh* we spent so much money on tha-“
Shepard has taken on the Reapers, the Collectors, Cerberus and many more. But in the end, a poisoned drink was too much to handle.
The joys of drinking on the job 😂
A batarian
There's a missing moment from Mass Effect 2 where, in the bad ending of the suicide mission, the Illusive Man does a facepalm.
I can imagine that! 😂
Batarian 47
Unfortunately, couldn't find an exit fast enough.
Shouldn’t have used sedatives for a lethal poison job
@@Sylvie_without_surnameThat WAS lethal poison. Shepard's super soldier liver he got from all the weird shit he drank in ME1 was just too strong.
Shepard: *dies from sobre*

Rookie mistake. Didn't shoot the batarian on sight.
Aria's men are mostly Batarian.
@@ladyselin35 If hate crimes are on the table, war crimes might as well be, too.
That's why you don't drink while working
😂👌
imagine thinking you're about to die and the first thing you see when you open your eyes is jacob 💀💀
Take another drink and go back to dying
"I grabbed the liquor but then the liquor grabbed me." Jim Lahey Shepherd.
That was actually brilliant haha. Thank you for sharing.
No worries! I’m glad it entertained you 😆
That timing is to good.
Brilliantly timed 😂
I believe at this stage many don’t know he is alive. Thus, the memorial line.

This is brilliant 😂. It's what I love the most about Mass Effect, funny crazy moments like these. 😂😂😂
I still don't really understand how shepherd survived this. Pretty sure everything except the facial scars are 100% human.

Shepard has some moderate cybernetic enhancements.
They even gave Shepard a slightly better biotic implant if your Shepard was a biotic.
*How long was I out!?!* 😦
😂😂😂
So how does that happen to Shepard?
He accepts a drink from the batarian bartender in Omega
