i had both , finally got rid of the R1 after so many problems , stator , relays , leaks , overheating in town like crazy. still have my k6 , has 65 000 kms now , bought it new in 07 , was a rest of stock at the dealer back in the day , never regret a day compared to the r1. both had regular maintenance but the yamaha had more issues i couldnt deal more with it

Sorry to hear you had so many issues with the R1! How many miles did you have on it before you let it go?

I know what you mean man, the used sportbike market has gotten real hot these last couple years. I sold my 09 R1 for about 6000 this spring, cause the mileage was a little high, but they usually go for over 7k.
If you go a little older your can get cbr1000RR's for about 5k though, at least in my area.

He is a big dude, but the GSXR 1000 fits him pretty well in person lol. He could just go all the way and get a Rocket 3! hehe
