Her birth year is estimated 1978.
"10" is read "tō" in Japanese, so October is Toto's Day.
Toto came to Japan in 1979.
She came from Nihondaira Zoo (Shizuoka City) to Ueno Zoo (Tokyo) in 1999 for the breeding project.
Toto is a so calm and beautiful female who has a swollen head.
Toto has no her own offspring, but the children of alpha female Momoko, is all attached to her.
When Toto is sitting and resting alone, they often come to chill together.
Baby gorilla Sumomo also loves and is attached to her so much that she often comes to her.
She is 45 years old, which is elderly for gorillas (they live 35~40 years in the wild and 40~50 years in captivity)
