i had a situation today with a new client during our contracting session in which i disclosed i was a trainee counsellor. The client didn't seem confident with my ability's from this point. This has been very helpful input for me on moving forward and being more conscious of my wording.
No offense to qualified counsellors, but so far every student that has listened to me has been better and kinder and got more out of me than every fully qualified counsellor, now I've only tried 3 qualified counsellors so maybe I was just unlucky! Students: What would Carl Rogers do? Qualified counsellors: I'm going to do whatever I feel like
Surely way way way before the first session the client should be aware of your (lack of) qualification! Sheer incompetence by the placement organisation if this has not been made clear.

Thanks for this. It's a question that's been on my mind

I interviewed Tim Bond , he said that trainees would be very attentive
I have been told the same thing !
