I am a teacher, and I used to own a cassette of the soundtracks for Puppet master's 1 and 2. This was actually great music to play when the kids/students were reading, or doing quiet work (I am at the HS level)... I need to see if I can find it again...
+Calum Sanderson If the kids were finished with the work I had assigned, I would let students bring in their own music. This was how I was introduced to Type O Negative, Slipknot, various "DJs" (think techno type stuff). I still listen to all that and more. Of course, if the kids did not finish, we did not get to hear their music. My philosophy of teaching was simple: If it is/was not fun for me, I KNOW it is/was not fun for them. I still believe that today after 25 years teaching HS kids. :-)

Puppet Master may be a B movie series. But it has a charm to it that makes me love it even more! It's one of those "Underdog" Films, the ones that critics and the general public don't like, but to some it's a gem under all of the other big budget generic Hollywood films.
One is a fine launching point but I’ve seen a lot better (and a lot worse). Two found a perfect balance of tones and is honestly where the OG series peaked. Three was also really good- the second best of the originals films in fact- but shifted the series into directions that would later harm it (the puppets go good, heavy focus on Nazism). The rest aren’t worth a shit. The Littlest Reich is fantastic and easily the best overall film in the series.
Puppet Master is one of the first horror movies I've ever watched. Stuff like Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th are legendary films but this series will always have a special place in my heart

This series is begging to be remade as a Netflix miniseries. The movies touch on a lot of great things, but they're also full of plotholes and filler, and feel like they never actually reach their potential. I'd love to see a series done with the same love and care as A Series of Unfortunate Events, Queen's Gambit, or Umbrella Academy.
