Flake, the keyboardist, is often the butt of a joke in Rammstein's music videos or performances, just like they leave him hanging at the end here. This comes from the origins of Rammstein, when the band was still being formed and Flake was the last guy to join. He officially never really requested to join and was hesitent to and only showed up during a show and some rehearsals and stuck around ever since. He was already playing in a band with Rammstein's rhythm guitarist Paul. They sort of lovingly ostracize him, because they often joke that Flake still hasn't officially joined the band and they're still waiting on him. Their personal histories together is heartwarming.

I love this song! It's a reminder that Rammstein having so much doesn't fall in self indulgency and routine as well as a criticism of artists that sold their Art for cash. The song isn't so much about any of the seven sins, it's about how - in this scenario - the band are left so emotionally dulled by the excesses of their success, that they feel no satisfaction anymore, hence the part with Till Lindemann looking so uninterested and depressed while he's surrounded by beautiful women making out around him. Because they feel "so cold", completely dead inside because they've over-indulged in every vice and success. So this video is about them getting together one more time to where it all began, playing for the sake of the music, to try and reignite their passion and joy.

German here! "Keine Lust" translates to "I dont feel like it". "Ich habe keine Lust, das jetzt zu machen." - "I don't feel like doing that now". Did you know that the band finishes the instrumental parts first and Till does then listen to it before writing the lyrics? Oh, and PLEASE react to the Piano version of "Mein Herz brennt" - it's wonderfully creepy!

Another German speaker here: I would add the "Mir ist kalt" (I'm cold) repeated over and over can be seen on an abstract level to mean "I forgot how to feel (any) emotion", or even more poignant "I realize I'm missing something important in life." It's said when he's in the limo with the two girls making out - naturally, that's something many people would consider the pinnacle of success- and it's clear he's totally indifferent to the situation.
You should have a look at the Rosenrot movie clip, which is another good one from them Else, I would highly recommend some In Extremo reaction. Villeman Og Magnhild ( live), or Vollmond would be a great combo between German metal music, and some very interesting things you started to discover ( Nightwish, Alien Weaponry.... ) Keep doing what you do guys
My favorite song from Rammstien would have to be "Rosenrot". But I do enjoy listening to "Auslander", "Onne Dich", "Deustchland", and "1, 2, 3" ( I think that's what it's called. The music video shows a colony of ants running around 🤷♀️😅). I recommend giving those songs a try when you get the chance!

They wanted to go back to their beginnings, without all the fame and excess. I've always read the lyrics as being about a fat old man (their fame and excess) who gets depressed with himself. German here! "Keine Lust" translates to "I dont feel like it". "Ich habe keine Lust, das jetzt zu machen." - "I don't feel like doing that now".
Did you know that the band finishes the instrumental parts first and Till does then listen to it before writing the lyrics?

Yes! Rammstein has some pretty fantastic lyrics, if look up the translations it only makes them better.
Another German speaker here: I would add the "Mir ist kalt" (I'm cold) repeated over and over can be seen on an abstract level to mean "I forgot how to feel (any) emotion", or even more poignant "I realize I'm missing something important in life." It's said when he's in the limo with the two girls making out - naturally, that's something many people would consider the pinnacle of success- and it's clear he's totally indifferent to the situation.

Else, I would highly recommend some In Extremo reaction. Villeman Og Magnhild ( live), or Vollmond would be a great combo between German metal music, and some very interesting things you started to discover ( Nightwish, Alien Weaponry.... )

My favorite song from Rammstien would have to be "Rosenrot". But I do enjoy listening to "Auslander", "Onne Dich", "Deustchland", and "1, 2, 3" ( I think that's what it's called. The music video shows a colony of ants running around 🤷♀️😅). I recommend giving those songs a try when you get the chance!
Just so you know, there are many making ofs on the official RUclips channel from rammstein, always nice for some background story and they are mostly pretty funny as well, also subtitles ✌️
They wanted to go back to their beginnings, without all the fame and excess. I've always read the lyrics as being about a fat old man (their fame and excess) who gets depressed with himself. Singing things like 'I don't feel like touching myself, would like to masturbate but don't feel like trying. Would want to get undressed but don't feel like seeing myself naked.' He's disgusted with himself.

I'm a fan of the movie 7 and at one point in my life I was wanting to get a tattoo of the 7 deadly sins on a scroll (luckily I grew up and gained some common sense before I did). Lust means "desire" but isn't as strong as our American English for desire. It more closely translates to "i dont want to" or "i dont feel like it". Ich hab keine lust best translates to "i have no desire."

The internet is CRAMPED full of the English translations and meanings of ALL Rammstein songs. I will never understand, how some low quality reaction channels are managing it, to riddle for several minutes about the meaning of the Rammstein lyrics...when they only needed to go shortly online and type "English lyrics Rammstein Keine Lust" into the search gap of Google.
Zhis Song is about Depression ... the whole song can be summed up in the one frame where the görls in ze car are making out and he looks away in boredom ... not even those görls can stimulate him that is how cold he feels inside
