- This video is an introduction tot he Afgan Patu Wool Blanket. This blanket (Shawel) is used in the Pashtun region of Afgainistan, Pakistan, Iran, and other countries in the region. Wool, but also produced in a mix of materials. Beautifully made, and not as expensive as one would believe.

Just got one the other day and love it so far. This video was super helpful and I learned a few cool new days to wrap mine!
Thanks for your comments. And these are really nice
I bought a similar blanket/shawl but mine is an Indian Lohi made of kashmir. It's probably a bit thinner than the Patu in your video and it has no paterns or designs but its soft and doesn't scratch my skin or get itchy. I love using it around the fire when I camp. One advantage that you didn't mention was the fact that sparks and campfire embers won't burn holes in wool like they do with synthetic materials. Great video
Thanks. I’m sure I left it out. Not because of anything more than I forgot to mention it. Thanks
I just bought Mine off Etsy! I want to keep my "gear" (backpack and laptop bag) protected from lighter rain and myself from the cold. Lots of other reasons, and occasions, like camping or hiking, like you say in the video, I can even use it to wrap over things up in. If i never really use it- i have a spare blanket.
I haven’t had the occasion to use mine much. But this winter I will bring it along. I did use it a bit on my couch. Thanks
Nice
Thanks
