I must say that, of all the segments of this finale offered on RUclips, this is my favorite. I do not have the credentials to critique the various aspects of voice, technique and musicality that some of the other viewers have offered... yet, as-stated, though all the other renditions feature highly talented, well-known professionals... this is still the winner for me.
How wonderful to see this segment-the opera rarely performed in my country (Australia) Beautiful work, Massenet, here and in the Mediation, conjured up one of the most heartbreaking melodies in al of music. What a feat!!
Not a suitable voice unfortunately. Lacking in the power the role demands. Plus to add the baritone has no power whatsoever so definitely not for him either. The runs up to the D6 need to be slower to accentuate what Thaïs is feeling. They're too fast because the soprano doesn't have the breath control to dealwith the huge demands of the music. No proper technique nor the voice for Thaïs
Judging when she's singing a concert version and a huge orchestra of non music major students who don't really know how to play truly pianissimo are not even in the pit. Shut up idiot.

Maravillosos todos,el que creó esta música, los que la interpretan y nos la regalan, gracias
La soprano non è brava non vale molto a Thais
