I loved those push in plastic clips, they are so much more durable and easy to use compared to standard plastic Christmas tree fittings. One thing I learned about our Lexus 400h, don't go to the Lexus dealer for parts. The parts list and engine are very similar to standard Toyota parts, but I discovered the Lexus dealers add a huge luxury surcharge that Toyota dealers don't. For example a block heater at the Lexus dealer was quoted at $150. I called a nearby Toyota dealer, same OEM part, identical part number, was $45.
Yo.Im first. Winner winner/chicken dinner. I have a long list of repairs to do re. our family cars. Emergency brake cables on wife’s Ion. Parts came yesterday. Got to replace evap. canister and related parts on my 2005 Escalade. Those parts have been here for two weeks. I went to Chicago two weeks ago.....22 hours round trip...to pick up new painted Tahoe hood for my work vehicle and a new painted Mini front fascia for wife’s Mini. I backed into it with a bumper hitch ball two months ago. DUH. Got to do idler pulleys/belts on my Tahoe. Parts are here. Daughters Edge needs plugs....V6. I replaced her transfer case last season with the help of your video. It was a bitch. Your video saved me. Thanks. Other daughters Tahoe needs front door hinges. Those parts are gathering dust. It never ends. I’m a carpenter/contractor and I’m swamped with business and promises. The car fix stuff gets done in my “spare time”. Can someone identify which transmission cooler line goes to the upper radiator port and which cooler line goes to the lower radiator port? thank you
It doesn't matter, but I would bet one is going to be too short, if it's wrong.
It pays not to go cheap on hose clamps. Especially avoid the HF "insta-rust" type.
What name brand of new radiator installed?
Cheap Chinese stuff. They are all re-boxed into whatever brand on the box. Some are better than others.
Great vid. I have a 06 just like that and my coolant is pink not green, do you think that could be y it was leaking? I Guess you already answer that @ the end.
The pink stuff is factory coolant. Global coolant can be green, and it works just fine. The old conventional type coolant is no good.
Cheap, non genuine parts + bad installation + wrong coolant = why this abused Lexus was leaking.
Добрый ,день!имеется Лексус рх 330,2003 года...такой вопрос,проблема у нас такая в минус 30,они просто лопаются....
Предлогают поставить основной радиатор от Лексус рх 350,но там патрубки идут снизу... Теперь внимание вопрос: Можно ли такой радиатор поставить на Лексус рх 330 от Лексус рх 350 или нет,конечно удлинять патрубки..? Подключение то я поставлю,но как будет вести себя двигатель с такими вот патрубками снизу.....

@@dtnineninety9406 от Тойоты виндом ставят кажется, посмотрите в драйве.,там статья есть,а самый простой способ поставьте простой радиатор из нержавейки и крышку радиаторную на 1,1.,радиатор щас примерно в Авито стоит тыс 10.000
Did you ever thought of using WD40 to removed rust screws or a heat gun? I am just trying to learned the basics stuff mechanics do so I can take care of my truck and car and save money...while doing these I noticed how my previous mechanics didn't put all the screws and they are missing. I just told my son that while cleaning the car I noticed missing screws where they removed parts to replaced bulbs. I am going to replaced them myself but it makes me mad why mechanics don't number parts and screws so they can put them back together. But then they charged you more per hour than an attorney. I do restoration on antiques furniture as a hobby and I number or used letters on parts of furniture, screws or nails to make sure everything goes back together as the original.
I think about using the stuff all the time. And never number anything. I just remember.
save some stress take out the battery and the reservoir under it for those lovely clamps he mangled... thank me later
