I’ve been scrapbooking for over 30 years now. I hope my kids and grandkids will keep them after I’m gone. I also sew, bead, diamond dot, make looped potholders, and make cards too.
I remember scrapbooking parties. Went to a couple, but did nothing with them. One year for Christmas I went through all the things I had collected and put them in Rubbermaid type containers and gave them to my kids for Christmas. They loved going through them and appreciated seeing many memories. Carolyn😊
I’m currently working on putting together a scrapbook of all my quilts, wool appliqué, embroidery and cross stitching to tell my needlework story. It’s fun reminiscing and researching pattern names and dates.
I haven’t done scrapbooking but I have boxes and boxes of photos that I’ve been undecided about what to do with for years. If I put them in books, I would have a ton to deal with! And that would probably take up more space than the boxes!
I did a little scrapbooking, but we just digital review our pictures now days, so I haven’t in a long time. I recently threw away my own yearbooks. I rarely looked at them and really don’t care. My kids won’t either. My grandma passed a year ago, so I helped clean out her house over the summer. She was 99 at her passing, and was a hoarder. I vowed not to let my own children experience this same when I pass. I have been much better at cleaning out! Hopefully I always can be! Hahaha! Some things are sentimental and I do keep, but if I think my kids will just throw it away, I get rid of it now so they won’t have to!
I never did scrapbooking but I have lots of photo albums and I store them in my beautiful old oak armoire that used to hold those huge deep TV’s. I like them right in my living room because I am the age (73 and widowed) that is living on the memories. As always I loved your table talk today!
I scrap booked for many years. I have two sons and I gave them the books I made of them while growing up. They can do what they want with them? I have about 12 large scrapbooks on the shelf in the closet in my craft room and four old suitcases full of hand made books. ❤ P.S. I love doing inventory….I worked at Bullocks dept store 40 years ago…fun times and great memories
Re your scrapbook, scan them at a family history center, then load all of them to your memories on Family Search!! Your family can enjoy those forever after you're gone! 🎉
I did scrapbooking for years as well, and as of now my son has no interest in taking his scrapbooks, so I am in the same predicament! I may look into scanning pages and sending to Walgreens to make a hard cover book… look forward to hear if any one else has any suggestions! Also, I really like the feeling lucky door banner!
I have only a few scrapbooks. But, I would think making a digital copy would be wonderful. I worry about the old vhs home movies..not sure how to make those available to the family. Have a great day!
Have a nice day When I leave a store I say Have nice day My great grandson who 3 spent a week with me last Nov. Now when he someone leaves or we leave some some where he said Have a nice day
I did scrapbooking for a while but now I just like the photo app on my phone that makes slideshows with music. The digital frames are nice too that you can upload your pictures to and place on a side table and have a slideshow of the pictures.
Shannon, there is a train from Albuquerque to Santa Fe! and I’m pretty sure there’s a shuttle from the airport to the nearby train station-that would at least save you the drive. I live in Massachusetts but have a relative in Taos & we always spend some time in Santa Fe, one of my favorite places! (Of course, I’ve never been to Utah… ;-)
So special to see the beautiful wool applique work your MIL did! Thank you for sharing.
Our snow is melting. We have been having lower temperatures than normal. I enjoy your videos. Crosstitch and quilting are my favorites.
Enjoying all your quilts and cross stitch and fabric 1

What a fun break - I just moved so it is like inventory! I never did scrapbooking, it has always been about fabric for me. Hugs
I never had an interest in scrapbooking but have seen some beautiful scrapbooks that people put a lot of time and love into.

Welcome back Shannon. Delta all the way!!! ✈️❤️. Your mother in law is amazing! 😮💖
I have all my pictures in boxes and would love to know what to do with them as well. Thanks for table talk

I love scrapbooking. I think all those little treasures are important. Those scrapbooks are such memory keepers ❤️

Sandy, that's a great idea to create a photo book of all your hard work.

I have a friend who just showed me the lovely Digital Books that she now makes. She ran out of room, also. This works much better for her.
I really wanted to love scrapbooking but I never could find the time.
I really enjoy watching you ladies. ❤
Shutterfly is always a good place to put the pictures in books
I love doing inventory. I had a friend who had her scrapbooks put into books. A lot less storage.

I never did scrapbooking but I loved seeing the Sue Spargo WIP. I wouldn't mind seeing more show & tell of projects by master crafters.

He probably isn’t old enough yet to really appreciate the scrapbooks. Sometimes there is a change with age.
I do understand the storage problem. But have feelings about the love and time devoted to them.

I never got into scrapbooking.
I tried scrap booking but lost interest in it.
