Raf was my professor while i studied fashion design at the university of applied arts in vienna in the early 2000s. Never saw his furniture though…thank you very much for making this video, loved watching it😊
Just a slight note at 7:00, it’s actually written corset coupe and not corset coup, which change the meaning from corset blow to corset cut Besides that, crazy video, thanks for your hard work
Im learning more and more about fashion in these last two years. Also thanks to this channel. Im still not really knowledgeable about it but pretty sure i know a few things more than the average person/"hypebeast". One day ill probably be more confindent to actually dress in a more unique way. About Raf simons. Im always impressed by his work whatever the context. I keep going back and forth about him. Forgetting about this designer and then coming back and remember the times he's been influential in fashion. The amount of hidden detail and meaning in these furnitures is insane. Every component and material is so carefully picked. Blows my mind
Fashion is a journey so take your time! Buying second hand and reselling lets you try out pieces and styles and see what works for you, I love Yohji but after wearing it I realized it wasn't right for my lifestyle
I'm speechless. Like I'm in awe that Raf had such a distinct eye for design and function. But in also so happy that YOU got to do this! Like Bliss you're such an amazing fashion journalist. And I love seeing how you engaged with these pieces, it takes unbixing to a whole new level! Yes to more content and trips abroad for you!
I was completely unaware of this. You can fully see some pieces that are just a version of these furniture ideas. Some of the Solar Youth collection pieces have the same feeling as these. It's so cool to see what the Raf universe has to offer. Thank you Bliss. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU
Although I unfortunately can't support your patreon I will comment, like and share with anyone I can. Your channel is by far my favorite on this platform and when I have the financial ability I'll support your incredible work. Thank you for everything you have done for fashion.
I am senior in college who was watched your videos since middle school. I’ve been applying for jobs and as soon a I get my first real job I’m excited to switch from RUclips to supporting some of my favorite creators on Patreon. You are definitely on that list
7:21 "Vertugadin" is actually the French word for farthingale. The Italian is "guardinfante", which translates literally to "guard(ian)of the infant", indicating the defense that it had over a pregnant belly.
once again love the analytical work that goes into these videos 🤩 small correction tho, in french: coup = blow (to the head) coupe = cut ( the way something is cut)
Wow! I love them! Beautifully made. I never knew raf had such skills but I’m not surprised by how well they came out. I really liked the F system furniture hedi slimane made too and love when high profile names branch out into other sectors. Amazing that you had these to show us - thanks so much bliss!
I study industrial design and i've found more inspiration through the conceptualization done through fashion than on many other forms of design, really thanks thanks thanks for the hard work and bringing all this to us
This is an amazing video bliss personally i think that another meaning of the snakeskin is how we conduct ourselves vs on the inside since it goes with the overall theme like with the corset
Consistently learning about designers from your channel that I knew nothing about. I’ve only really been into streetwear, but you break your videos down really well in explaining the info to anyone. Great vids
Brilliant unboxing Bliss, i can only imagine what it must have been like to lay hands on works of such artistic importance! As always thought provoking and intensely interesting!! Bravo 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💯🤩
WTF! I never commented your videos but man, this is amazing. I’m blown away by the interpretation and pieces themselves. This is one of the few more abstract pieces of art, that really very able to catch me and surprise me. Thank you for this video Sir Foster 🧐🙏
7:24, I’m Italian!! i can say that’s not an italian word but it may be a part of Veneto’s dialect (since very few words end with a consonant in the language, except from Northern surnames or dialectal / traditional words). A vertugandin, in Italian “guardinfante” is pretty much the (often) metallic underlying structure that women would wear under their dresses in order to make them look more bloated. The structure presented a shape that almost covered the maternal womb, resulting a “guard” to the fœtus (referred with “infante” in Italian and “enfant/infant” in French) inside a pregnant woman.
I lerned or lets say I remembered what fashion is about for me personally. In the Inside it is more than just expensive clothing for „flex“. Its art beauty and excitement.
7:00 while talking about the words on the corset one, you made a translation mistake, "coupe" in french means cup or cut depending on the context, but it can also mean the general shape of something like the cut of a jacket. I think you mistaken it with "coup" with indeed means blow
Jeeez, I love this video, I mean the information you present and the way you do it („love Your body” so cute, so Bliss). Also about X-ray piece. Am I the only one that really liked the fact that shelves inside are mostly made of glass? Color of the glass edge reminds me of science, technology (so xray) and fragility of glass could mean internal organs? What do you think? Great vid
I truly enjoy your videos Mr. Foster so much quality and deep learning. However, I need to add a little precision for the corset the corset coupe, coupe isnt the blow it's the cutting. 👀
Is there any information on what was displayed on this shelves, or if they were ever actually used? I'd love to see how or what you can display on them, or around them... Incredible video Bliss, thanks for everything!!!
Anyone else find the dembossed words and phrases a overly didactic and Melodramatic? Reminds me of a thirteen year old writing "pain" on their hand or something

oh my god that sounds like a dream come true! What was he like as an instructor?
Just a slight note at 7:00, it’s actually written corset coupe and not corset coup, which change the meaning from corset blow to corset cut

How's it even possible that someone owns that? That blows my mind, in a good way, great job 👏
Super appreciate the endless library of shared knowledge. 🙏🙏🙏🙌

super great pieces, would love to have it in house
What i have learned today is what matters in making clothing is not only the outside it is what makes you think about your inside
lol..saw the corset piece and was like oh a stand that is like a corset
I truly enjoy your videos Mr. Foster so much quality and deep learning. However, I need to add a little precision for the corset the corset coupe, coupe isnt the blow it's the cutting. 👀
Love corrections, thank you 💫💫
