Thank you, Mike. I have all the old Craftool figure bevelers with several of each. This is from the days when they were handmade so you can have three different sizes all with the same number. I love the flexibility of these bevellers.
Merci pour vos vidéos; je les aime vraiment beaucoup car je les trouve très pédagogiques et généreuses! je vais polir mes figure carving from tandy parce que vous m'avez donné envie de les utiliser plus! encore merci et please, continuez les vidéos!!
Besides the BF8, are there a few other of Bob's tools that you use a lot? Want to jump on Bob's waiting list and trying to come up with 3 or 4 of his tools for figure carving and maybe some Sheridan type work. Cheers.
Brian, I would get the B2, B3, BF 1-8 and some checkered matter bevelers from Bob. Also background tools like the can matter or ecoli. You can find excellent Sheridan tools from other vendors without the wait, but Bob’s are certainly worth waiting for. Ask him about the Sheridan new as I don’t have any.
But, But, I dont have Black Crack money like you do......lol Thank you for these videos. should do one for like 5 mins, giving us little tips. do it once a week. Like the Compass and Groover tip you gave me....
Thanks, Jean! You don't need Black Crack. You just need a good properly shaped figure beveler. I have been working on some more video tips. Stay tuned.
I’d like to make one, but not sure how heavy to make it or what to use as a weight so as to keep things from slipping but not leave marks on the leather- any thoughts? Also, is it veg tan on the bottom? If there is a name for this or a tutorial you know of, that would be helpful.
i have been trying to purchase bob beard tools for a very long time, the man can be found at karger leather shows i am told.i remain searching for his tools

More videos please
Stay tuned, Chris. More on the way soon!
Where do you get the nice weight that you are using, do they have a name . Thanks
Chris Nixon I had these made for me by someone who is no longer in the business. They are just a leather weight, and pretty simple to make.
