I actually hate the first movie because they made him out to be an utter idiot sycophant brother of a Sharpey lackey. The second movie had him come to the realization that his sister is a total narcissist and he begins building his own bridge of friendship with the rest of his classmates. The final movie expands his gift of choreography and direction to help him earn a scholarship to Julliard. He's absolutely my favorite character.

High school musical is what helped him start to become a heartthrob. It's impossible for that to be the reason they got a different singer. So, no, it was not because he was filming 17 again. It was because he was going through puberty, and his voice started to change during filming. His voice was unreliable at the time, so they got a different singer to help. I also heard he couldn't hit the high notes but, I'm not too sure about that one.
Drew Seeley actually was supposed to be Troy and he was him in the tours. But last minute either Drew couldn't do or something came up, so they recasted it to have Zac. But because all of the songs were already written, it wasn't in Zac's key. And they already recorded Drew. So Zac lip synced in the first one, but sings in the rest.
High School Musical 2 is my favorite by a landslide because I feel it has the most growth between the first and third films. It cemented Ryan as a better character, had the best overall lineup of songs in my opinion, and did a good jo introducing the themes of tackling growing up and how it can effect you that the third movie later expanded on. As for favorite song....No idea if I'm being honest because so many of them slap. So my favorite from each film: 1-Breaking Free 2-Everyday 3-Can I have This Dance?
Bet On It is iconic and it's one of my favorites. Zac Efron sounds different because he didn't do all of his own vocals in the first movie - Drew Seely provided the vocals for Troy Bolton. Both are good singers, both similar, but the difference is obvious when watched back to back.

In the first High School Musical movie and part of the second, Ashley Tisdale sings for Vanessa Hudgens, who plays Gabriella. The same for Zac Efron, Drew Seeley sings for him. In the third movie, Vanessa and Zac both sing every song with no voice over or blend.
No in HSM 1 Vanessa sings her songs not Ashley. The only thing is that they edited her low notes so it could be someone else singing her low notes but 95% of the first movie is her voice. If you’re referring to the fact that she didn’t not sing live in the scene then you’re right, it was studio recorded.

Julie and the Phantoms. It’s a show, but it’s only 9 episodes, so far, and it’s beyond amazing. Also the episodes are short, so it won’t take a lot of time. Kenny Ortega, who did HSM, is behind JATP as well. I think you’d love it. Really a “feel good” show, with emotional moments. Bring tissues. Much love!
If you want to watch a movie with excellent choreography, good singing voices, and an awesome plot, you should check-out "Newsies". Plus, the main character is played by Christian Bale. He can sing, dance, and act. But all we associate him with now is playing Batman.

Sharpay isn’t the villain. She welcomed Troy & Gabby in first glance. She gets her on the math team. She tests their dedication (sharpay is theatre, gabby is math, troy is basketball). She gets him a scholarship to just sing with her (which he doesn’t know). Btw their version of What I’ve Been Looking, Bop To The Top, Fabulous, Stick To The Status Quo & I Want It All, are in the top 10 songs.

If you want to watch a movie with excellent choreography, good singing voices, and an awesome plot, you should check-out "Newsies". Plus, the main character is played by Christian Bale. He can sing, dance, and act. But all we associate him with now is playing Batman.

Sharpay isn’t the villain. She welcomed Troy & Gabby in first glance. She gets her on the math team. She tests their dedication (sharpay is theatre, gabby is math, troy is basketball). She gets him a scholarship to just sing with her (which he doesn’t know). Btw their version of What I’ve Been Looking, Bop To The Top, Fabulous, Stick To The Status Quo & I Want It All, are in the top 10 songs.

I’m glad you did it all in 1 cuz not a lot of people will watch this and multiple videos of things not a lot of people would watch is a waste of effort so I commend you (plus when you make a series into one video it is easier to watch in my opinion) but if you’re trying to make money off of vids then the better videos should be in parts that’s why I’m glad this is a 1nner

Great to see your reaction to this trilogy Welchy! Like you I had my sister watch these all the time growing up, so used to annoy the hell out of me. But now being older and watching them brings back so many memories. For me my fav song will always be Scream from HSM3. If you can could you do a reaction to The Descendants trilogy. Similar to HSM but with more princes and princesses, also done by the same director as HSM. Think you will enjoy!

zac sounds so different in the 2nd movie because it wasnt actually him singing it was Drew Seeley because Zacs voice was too deep for the age of his character but he sings his own songs in 2 and 3
