It’s really hard to say this because I’m a Vols fan, but thank you Florida Gators for doing us a solid! Also, shoutout to OU for really putting a cherry on top and helping us out as well. I’m not looking past Vandy and I’m sure our coaches and players aren’t either, but it couldn’t have worked out better for us. GBO!
OC Nick Sheridan is the main culprit for Bama’s loss to OU. He kept trying to run Milroe into the teeth of a defense that was focused on stopping his running, instead of handing off to the RBs who were getting nice gains almost every carry. Against LSU, he was able to run Milroe so much because he spent the first few drives throwing screens and flares to the RBs on the perimeter, which wore down LSU’s D and kept their front 7 honest. We saw none of that against OU though. Of course, Milroe made some horrific decisions with the football that led to three INTs, and deserves blame for that, as he does for not hitting open holes. But the play calling and the OL allowing pressure on seemingly half the plays Bama ran didn’t exactly put him in a position to succeed.
People of the world.....there are a few requirements when one throws a football, I'm not exactly an expert, but I've thrown enough as a child to understand , you can't do it with someone in your face. And when the entire defense is focused on you, it's hard to run it. So the heart of the matter is, your offense must have a functional offensive line who is responsible for stopping the defensive line.....etc
@@ckennedy309 Milroe can't read defenses, has bad footwork and has tunnel vision when he locks in the receiver, which is the first option 90% of the time. He's awful.

The good thing is regardless of how many losses Notre Dame has, they will always have an outside shot at winning the national championship in the eyes of the committee
ANY P2 team that finishes 11-1 should be in period/end of story. If not, then cfp needs to just go to power rankings where wins/losses means nothing & regular season is varsity version of NFL preseason where it's about keeping starters healthy

ONLY Alabama could get dumpstered by 3 scores against an unranked five-loss team, lose 2 games against unranked five-loss teams, have 3 losses on the season, and STILL have people saying there's a path for them to the playoff. It's absolutely absurd but also not surprising. Watch the CFP have them ranked 15th so they can still put them in if they beat Auburn next week.
I’ve never understood or agreed with the hype around Lane Kiffin. He’s pretty much always revealed and exposed himself as a tier below elite. Great play caller and tremendous recruiter. Overrated head coach.
These clowns are talking down on 11-1 teams that win every week and don't take L's to 5-5 teams saying that they haven't done anything. They win the games against P4 teams. That's hard to do no matter what. Indiana and Penn State both deserve home games 1st round of the playoffs!
Facts. ESPN still trying to put down SMU so they can sneak a 3 loss SEC team. Likely an 11-1 team that I believe currently has beaten the most above .500 P4 teams in the country. As the SEC has found it, beating teams you should be beat is harder than it looks

Convinced Matt Barrie and Paul Finebaum are comatose in pregame analysis regardless of who’s playing.
Matt always looks drunk
Brent V!!! Don’t down play it. Give him FULL CREDIT
The addition of the SEC game for UGA puts their schedule into the stratosphere of difficulty
Jalen milroe needs to transfer or go to draft he can not start again
If he does he may win the Heisman because Alabama is ruining him. That offense is horrible.
@Muskogee so I suppose you think the offense makes him throw interceptions? Bless your heart.😅
@@Muskogee he won't ever come close. He is a mediocre QB, full stop.
@@ckennedy309 Milroe can't read defenses, has bad footwork and has tunnel vision when he locks in the receiver, which is the first option 90% of the time. He's awful.
We get it SEC if you beat Georgia you’re automatically the best thing since sliced bread smh
Indiana lost in Columbus!! Not one team in college can beat Ohio State at home period
True. No elite teams in the field this season. Tallest midget in the room will be champion in a weak year.
Oklahoma can beat osu at the horseshoe
They want to talk about the Oklahoma defense. The funny part is the offense shoved it down Bama's throat even when they knew it was coming.
They can talk about it all they want, but Oklahoma is dead in the water anyway. They didn’t have anything to lose in that game. But Vanderbilt did the same exact thing to Alabama so what’s your point exactly? Is Vanderbilt better than Oklahoma?
@@shanewoods1980They had nothing to lose? Lol theyre fighting for a bowl and it was senior night.
DC and Milroe both need to kick rocks.
There were 2 plays that wound up getting OU 14 pts. Bama defense wasn't elite but it played good enough to win. The offense was really bad.,
Oh please. The blunder of the century was letting Gabriel walk. Sorry that ones on Venables. It was not "okay, see you, wish you well"- no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no.
Finebaum wearing the SEC jersey is so fitting.
Colorado is exactly who we thought they were…..now that the Cinderella story is over can we move on…😂
Right a top 25 team. Even Bama and your God conference the SEC is loosing. Get of CU’s meat racist!
3 loss teams shouldn’t make it. This was a point you guys use to say
Why? When no context is considered? When no circumstances unique to whatever season are considered? I dont see the logic in an arbitrary loss restriction.
Unless there’s absolute chaos this weekend neither bama nor ole miss should even be considered for the playoffs.
LOVE THAT THE SEC IS NOW THE BIG JOKE. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Ole Miss beat PSU who had 8 players opting out of the game! Guess what, PSU wouldn't have played Minny yesterday if they were in the SEC. They would've played Mercer or UTEP.
Enjoyed the thoughts as always ya’ll.
Please stop with the “Florida is a hot team nonsense”. They hot garbage with a couple big wins. They got 49 dropped on their heads a couple weeks ago
UF can play with almost every team in the SEC.
@ Well they will get a 2nd chance next week to see how they fair against the ACC
The Cult should worry about why Alabama looks so sorry and got smoked and stop the laser focus on Colorado and Coach Prime.
Great show as always but this one was the best. 😊😊😊😊😊😊
Purdue grad here. When Purdue knocks IU out of the playoffs, it will be remembered as a successful season for Purdue. Go Boilers! POTFH.
Nice
Went from what do we do with all these 2 loss teams in the SEC ALL THE WAY TO wait what about 3 loss teams getting in 😂😂
The good thing is regardless of how many losses Notre Dame has, they will always have an outside shot at winning the national championship in the eyes of the committee
@@JohnSmith-wh2ob next week: which four loss SEC team deserves to be in?
Paul said “the fox boys.” 😂😂
I can’t wrap my brain around the bama team that played against Georgia and the Bama team that played the entire game vs Oklahoma. Make make sense
ANY P2 team that finishes 11-1 should be in period/end of story. If not, then cfp needs to just go to power rankings where wins/losses means nothing & regular season is varsity version of NFL preseason where it's about keeping starters healthy
What a disappointment. As an Ole Miss fan, I wonder how we will ever be champions. Blew it in 2015, now 2024. Just don't see how we go forward from here.
We're going to get a Miami camouflage game with Penn State 😆😆🔥
I’ve never understood or agreed with the hype around Lane Kiffin. He’s pretty much always revealed and exposed himself as a tier below elite. Great play caller and tremendous recruiter. Overrated head coach.
Kane Liffin!
Lame kiffin yesterday.🙀
These clowns are talking down on 11-1 teams that win every week and don't take L's to 5-5 teams saying that they haven't done anything. They win the games against P4 teams. That's hard to do no matter what. Indiana and Penn State both deserve home games 1st round of the playoffs!
Facts. ESPN still trying to put down SMU so they can sneak a 3 loss SEC team. Likely an 11-1 team that I believe currently has beaten the most above .500 P4 teams in the country. As the SEC has found it, beating teams you should be beat is harder than it looks
Man please, Bama better be focused on trying to beat Auburn and keeping the recruiting class in the top 5,enough said 💯
The SEC Propaganda Department known as ESPN is in full spin mode today!
Watch Bama lose to Auburn and some people would still want them in the CFP😂
Of course Indiana is in. 1 loss on the road vs #2, a perennial power. All that after these SEC teams losing vs 5 loss teams. lol
1 close loss can be a fluke or anomaly. When you lose 3 times, it's inconsistency and a pattern.
Sure, and yet, they could beat any team in the country 7 out of 10 times.
@chargree
Who are you talking about? And what does that have to do with the CFP???
@@kbrewski1 Do you seriously need guidance on this? Was the original post ambiguous. My response was the exact amount of ambiguous. There are multiple SEC teams with 3 losses. Is that who you are talking about? Why would you use those exact numbers? Thats the reason I said what I said. I am referring to hypotheticals, keeping in mind that there are actual examples of it this year that illustrate my point. I gave you the benefit of the doubt to follow logic. Even so, it doesnt need to be a specific team. And what does YOUR comment have to do with the playoff? Mine is the same amount of application to the CFP.
@chargree
My comment clearly referred to the 3 loss teams in the SEC who SEC fans are now trying to justify getting in the CFP. IE, the subject matter of this video. Your comment referred to some specific team you didn't name. Unless you are seriously and even more ludicrously claiming that ALL THE 3 LOSS SEC TEAMS COULD BEAT ANYONE IN THE COUNTRY AND THUS DESERVE TO BE IN THE CFP. WHAT A KNUCKLEHEAD.
@ Why would they have to beat anyone in the country. They definitely COULD. I just think that some or all of the 3 loss teams, unless Missouri is still at 3 losses, could be considered a top 12 team in the country. You call me a knucklehead, but you are making straw man arguments now?
best show on y.t. thanks matt
The Colorado Bling vs Substance question got answered !!!
The SEC may be the best conference top to bottom but from a dominant team(s) perspective, the SEC is not the best conference this year.
😂 the season's not even over buddy.
I came in here ready to be annoyed with Paul Finebaum's take. I thought he would find a way to justify Alabama and Ole Miss, and I was pretty surprised. PF has an SEC lean, that's his job to promote the conference, and I appreciate his take on the Alabama-Ole Miss playoff situation right here. This is about as unbiased and objective as I've heard PF before. Sorry for doubting you.
You should still doubt him
Ironically, SEC fans are annoyed by Finebaum regularly 😂
Alabama had a relapse of 2018 VD. Venable’s Defense.
Imma call it now. If we keep getting 3 loss teams in the next few years the playoffs will expand to 14 or 16 to add the 3 loss teams in a wild card like setting
The B12 shouldn't have an automatic playoff bid. That conference is absolutely pathetic top to bottom.
Even as a SEC supporter, 2 losses to unranked opponents should keep bama out for good, no other excuses.
Hi Paul - one doesn't feel "badly." That means your sense of physical feeling is deficient. I feel bad means that you have emotional sympathy for someone else's plight. 💛💙
If UGA would have lost to Vandy and Oklahoma the committee would drop them out of the top 25 with no debate!!!!!
You know what penn state doesn’t have? Bad losses… Bama has 2!
You know what Penn state doesn’t have?? Good wins
But yea I agree bama shouldn’t be in the playoffs but defending Penn state is wild
11:09 wait a minute!!!! This isn’t Saban!!
The Ohio State Buckeyes are your 2024-25 National Champions, All that's left now is to finish the job and play it out. Go Bucks!
Paul's right. We need Alabama vs. Indiana a week before the playoffs. But we need to add Penn. St. vs South Carolina the same week. How different would the playoff picture look?
I am a graduate of Alabama University @ Birmingham I have watched Alabama play football for 75 years and I have never seen anything like it and I hope I never do again. I think not one thing went wrong but 100 things went wrong from A to Z and all these naysayers seem to be running their mouths are people who Alabama did beat.
It's a good thing LOSSES don't count in the mighty SEC
Breaking news, Paul Funbaum will be named New Head Coach of Alabama. 😂😂😂
How many Alabama players will transfer
And how many commitments will de-commit?
@@andykober2283ALL WILL DECOMMIT AND TRANSFER. MILLION DOLLAR BAND TO ENTER THE TRANSFER PORTAL WITH AL ELEPHANT 😊🐘
@@andykober2283how many decommits will recommit, and then decommit, and then negotiate money, just to hold out, and then visit Colorado, and then get touched inappropriately by their agent, and then decide to just enter the portal?
OU fan here, Ala regardless will always get their fair share of 5 stars, I hear the same thing every week from OU fans after every loss, both teams will survive and thrive in the coming years
Dude... Give the JAYHAWKS at least a little bit of credit 😅
Texas’s resume looks better after Florida beat LSU last week and Ole Miss this week.
Texas is the only Elite team in the SEC
Part of this segment was no legitimate argument for Penn state, there’s no legitimate argument against Penn state.
I'll be Paul if physically sick today. LOL
