👋I've waited so long for video like this! It's snowy outside and i wanted to show how cool is to drive golf mk2 in the snow enviroment

Ya shut see old ladas engine the moment ya turn them on we can instantly drive without waiting 5-10 mins waiting in cold to be warm up , I drive 1996 Lada Samara 2108 its 3door hatchback 1.3L 4Cylinder Petrol Engine (60 hp)

@Viktor Dimitrow starting the car first is a normal procedure but you should also remove the snow from the driver's side first

I had the 1990 production year 3 door 1.6 TD intercooler 59kw/80hp and it was quite fast if you consider weight to power ratio,because it was 900 kg.

@@driveclassics I had it for 6 or 7 years,i sold it 10 years ago.i bought it from a guy who used to work in the greek embassy in Skopje...it was black with a hood scoop for the intercooler, power windows, sunroof and Borbet 15" wheels,no A/C with the double headlight grill and wide bumpers...... memories ;)

Theres a couple here that have the 1.9td fuel pump, injectors and turbo and they are fun to drive.

Tip: Don't use a brush or a scraper to get snow off the car, It can scratch the paint. Only use it on windows or windshields! :)

25 years ago I bought myself a Golf II Diesel with 54 HP and a very rare automatic transmission. Even the vehicle was slow, very slow, it needn't much gas, approx. 5 litres per 100 km.
That's still good considering the car is very old

very cool, i have one mk2 but is td
1.6D has 54 PS, 1.6TD has 70 PS, 1.6 TDi has 80PS
80 is GTD not TDi!! tdi was later golf 3 onward with 90-150ps
80PS was also a TDi and had a capacity of 1.6l, exactly it had 82PS, From 90 to 150PS there were 1.9l

Oh man, heating the lock with your thumb. then opening the door getting a ton of snow in the car wich would then cause the windshield to fog up beyond belief. get the car started running on 2 cilinders. waiting for the other two to kick in. then slide down the street with a squeegee in my hand cleaing the window every 10 seconds. memories

I really appreciate your video but please take this as a feedback - you shoul replace the camera to your chest rather than on forehead as it would be a better view.

Fun fact: these Golfs originally comes with tie rod ends, which only adjustable at the right side. If you align the toe, and the steering wheel become off-centered, the steering wheel must be taken off and refit into the correct position. 😅
@@95Jester Right. On my Golf II (long time ago) the left tie rod had to be replaced, and only from that moment on I had adjustable tie rods on both sides. There were no spare tie rods without adjustment.
