Very nice and glad you got the shots you wanted. I was wondering how many shots you got with the vespera? I will be using it during the 2024 eclipse and being in Pennsylvania I will get 95% coverage and look fwd to seeing this once in a lifetime event. 👍👍👍👍👍

I chuckled when you said, 4:13 "I honestly have no idea how this happened." It reminded me of arriving at the airport 4 hours earlier, going to a café and thinking I had plenty of time, only to miss the plane. I, too, have no idea how this happened 🤦🏼
I'm happy you got the shot, even though it was stressful. Thanks for taking us on your adventure 👍🏻

We went to Carrizozo lava flow just inside the Eclipse. Bortle 2-1 skies and had a campground of kids and adults at our scopes. edit; New Mexico, I also had a 50mm Lunt HA solar scope. I had to kill two rattlesnakes.

Sadly, I missed getting my setup ready in time. I thought I was aligned with the sun, but nooooo! On the other hand, it was a most spectacular eclipse! We had clear skies until it was fully annular, then clouds moved in and made a spectacular difference with the sun dancing in and out of the clouds. I managed to get a few shots with my phone, nothing special but a memory. We were at Massacre Rim Dark Sky Sanctuary - possibly my favorite place on the planet. It did not disappoint!

Soo glad you could take the mastermind Stella along and that she was able to remind you of stop messing around and start imaging ASAP. Such a good girl.

how could you not exist in a state of mind where you panic the night before and then rock up 4 or so hours before the eclipse lol..
