The officer said at one time brooks stops to get somebody off his windshield and sticks his head out of the window so he can see around the people who are flying onto his hood. This guy better rot in Prison.
Any jury who heard this policeman's testimony would find him surely guilty, his intention to continue driving despite his windshield being covered with peoples bodies that was witnessed by many is devastating evidence against him and enough to secure a intentional homicide conviction.

Darrell had a male judge at first, and I don't see him acting up now. He is just as quiet as a church mouse.

At some point DB had this Judge removed. Then he went rogue, fired the attorneys, claims sovereign and third party intervener representative on behalf of his client who refused to be called by that name.
Do you notice the difference between the male judge and the female judge, he insists on control over the women in his life, thank's to his mother, grandmother who always blamed his victim's and mental health, they are just as much to blame for continuing to let him think it was okay to hurt people, now he has killed six and wounded dozens of other's, shame on them, 💯⚖️⚖️⚖️💯

@@ReenieG1UK no he didn’t. This is just a commissioner. Judge Dorrow was already assigned to the trial. He even made a reference at one point to “the judge assigned to the trial” when talking about decisions she made about the media being present at one of these hearings.
This guy deserves to rot in jail.

Wow he doesn’t even need to be found guilty on the 6 counts of intentional homicide to be sentenced to life without the possibility of ever getting out. Just those other crimes with penalty enhancers are over 300 years at the lowest end of sentencing. And you know they will be served consecutively. There is a ZERO percent chance he will ever get out. I hope he actually rots there.
Yeah with 70-something counts he only needs to be found guilty on like 10 charges to be locked up for life. But guilty findings on all of them give less chance of him ever being released if he somehow got any of the counts overturned.
@@HB-ey2dk he has already got two extra years for the incident with a nephew and the friend of a nephew. He declared himself guilty, and the judge in that trial even admitted that it was useless to give Darrell Brooks any further sentence, things standing as they are with such huge previous sentences. And now let's see what happens with Erica Patterson's trial. I'll be watching when it begins.

There's no point to keep going, prison-time sense, but I guess I'm not sure if it's cathartic for her or even more triggering for her to keep having to be connected to him. Spoiler Alert: DB NEVER learns what "hearsay" or "relevant" means. Most (if not all) his cross examinations are to gain knowledge about things he doesn't understand or personally wants to know that have nothing to do the case itself. He asks many questions of witnesses that prove the Prosecution's side and incriminates himself further and never seems to understand why this happens. He has zero emotional intelligence. He acts like he is auditioning for a role on Law and Order. He treats this trial like a stage play. As it gets closer to cases being rested and jurors going off to deliberate, his anger and antics get worse as he probably realizes finally that he has no power to stop the inevitable. Life in prison. I believe if the parade attack didn't happen... sometime soon he eventually would have murdered someone. No doubt in my mind. Glad Erika knows now she can move on with her life without fearing DB. He's NEVER getting out of prison. Except maybe to be buried somewhere after he dies.

Later on Darrell will not contest the horrible bloody and evil striking and killing/ maiming 67 people but gets all huffy and outraged that he was once charged with slapping Erika on 11-20-21 though that charge was DROPPED. No one said it “never happened” as Darrell likes to maintain. Darrell’s whole focus on the whole trial was Erika.

Don't underestimate this creep. After having watch the whole trial and then to go back and watch this I can see the stage being set. He's sitting there watching them and listening like a hawk. He's absorbing everything and analyzing everything they are doing and saying. If you think about the whole trial everything he does is just copying his lawyers before he fired them, the prosecutors and the judge. He picks up on the phrases they use and the kinds of questions they ask and then he just follows that pattern throughout the trial. I think that they unintentionally gave him the hope that he could get off if he just asked questions like they did. It's uncanny the way he copies them. Watching one of the first days of the trial or even one of the hearings, the judge uses the term let me back this up and he used it throughout the trial. At one point the prosecuting attorney used the expression not, not, not, and darned if he didn't use it during either his closing arguments or his sentencing statement. I bet if things had continued he would have used the word Shenanigans and "sewn together" which the prosecuting attorney used in her final statements before sentencing. He didn't understand the concept of actually defending himself, he just thought he was supposed to ask all these questions of the witnesses to prove them wrong. That's why he thought it would be so easy and he could defend himself
Didn't work but you're exactly right. He missed nothing. Copied phases and used all the work right down to the highlighted paperwork his lawyers did. I bet they wanted him to take the plea deal.

Often times some people would ask him to repeat his question which seemed to fluster him sometimes and also either Witnesses or the judge would ask him to rephrase questions and he seemed to have no concept of what that meant or would just repeat the question, often humorously clueless like watching a dense person try to communicate with a deaf person. The dense person thinks it all they have to do is repeat what they said louder and or slower and they will be understood. Same thing when some people talk to a person from another country. They think that if they just say it slower or louder that they will be understood. He has no concept what the word rephrase means. I said before that somebody needed to hand him a dictionary. Then it just hit me yesterday. He only knows how to read what is written in the paperwork that was handed over by his lawyers. If someone asks him to rephrase the question, he not only doesn't know what rephrase means but he also can only read what is written and can't turn it around to say it in a different way. But of course he can't admit that so he just gets ticked off at them and tells them how clear it was so that in his usual fashion he is putting the blame on the other person.

@@beautifuldisaster139 Yup. He had all their notes and information and potential questions but he didn't truly understand how to utilize them. He just asked them because he was supposed to but he didn't really know what to do with the information. He never seemed to be making much of a point except to try and prove them to be lying or incorrect. I would say he barely attempted to defend himself that he didn't do it. To him it wasn't really important whether he did it or not just whether he got put away for it.
He was more like a parrot: trying to copy them without substance. He finished the trial without understanding the concept of 'opening the door' and kept on arguing subject matter jurisdiction even after verdict.

Interesting that Mr. Brooks wasn't interrupting the male magistrate/ nor the male judge in his bail hearing. ( look up video). He never claimed "Sov. CITIZEN" BULL ish in this hearing. Part of his issue is a complete anger at women, authority, and rules. His murder trial was the most mind blowing thing ever. He actually deserves his guilty on all charges verdict. May God have mercy on him, may he never forget the people he killed and injured. He needed help LONG AGO, and for that his mother, sadly is to blame.

@@_TruthNationTv that’s hard to say. I like to paraphrase a verse in the Bible, with I want to be careful in the way, I judge people, because I don’t want God to judge me with the same measuring cup I tend to judge others. If I keep that in mind, it makes it easier not to be too judge mental.

People don't understand Scripture, and it gets twisted into a pretzel, and Satan wins because we don't warn or admonish people about sin. Anyone who has repented of sin has a duty to refer people to Gods word regarding sin. Also, it has nothing to do with emotion, or how we feel, and everything to do with crucifying our flesh daily, and willfully practicing self control.

It's interesting to hear the case presented by trained defense attorneys... They actually manage to create the slightest hint of a strategic argument. Too bad he wasn't paying closer attention at the time. (Or maybe not - he cretainly deserved the verdict in the end, it would seem)

He knew he wasn’t coming out even with these lawyers, so I believe he decided to represent himself purely so he could appeal, and use the reasons that he didn’t understand as he continued to do that throughout the trial. He never wanted to represent himself.
@@butterflyray1 Yeah but if he didn't really want to represent himself, why did he jump through hoops in order to be allowed to do exactly that? No, he wanted to represent himself because he actually believed the magic words that SovCits use could get him off scot free or, at the very least, delay the trial to such an extent that he would be able to find a loop hole to slip through. Notice, as SOON as he was granted the ability to represent himself, he tried for a delay because 3 days wasn't enough for him to "prepare" for trial. The judge wasn't having a bit of it and ordered the trial to proceed. When it became apparent that he wasn't going to delay the trial, he started trying for either a mistrial or trying to gain traction for a reversal on appeal. He even tried to advise the jury about nullification in the hope that they would not convict him.
I just couldn’t be a slimy lawyer that defends people that everyone knows for 100 percent guilty for cash.
In my opinion..he could have presented a defense and not acted the way he did. His actions in the courtroom towards victims and families was disgusting and didn't help him with the jury or judge.

It’s odd that she gets up there and says I didn’t mean to kill anyone. Guess what Siri did sure he did. He meant to kill everyone. He was probably disappointed that he only killed six sadly.
I know everyone is entitled to defense counsel and Mr Brooks is assumed innocent but some of the questions from the defense are ridiculous. “Not everyone that the vehicle hit died, correct?” Like a jury should find that fact to give reasonable doubt to his guilt. She couldn’t rub his back like he was a little child this time either since she wasn’t directly next to him. Oh, and marijuana use made him do it and he’s really sorry.
Wonder if she's going to try and say it was self-defense. That these people attacked his vehicle. Give it time. I'm sorry for being salty about this but for God's sake these were old folk and children

Kinda random but this just made me think of one of the most hate-able cringey defense attorneys - at least imo- was that woman that defended Jennifer rosenbaum if anyone remembers that horrible case. Omfg just bad.
Many of his victims were injured so badly, that the trauma units in that area couldn't keep up. He had intent and acted in blind anger. He has now been found guilty on all charges. The sad thing is that Mr. Brooks committed VIOLENT crimes long ago, jumped bail in 2012 and HE NEEDED HELP LONG BEFOE THEN.
I understand the defense attorneys are just doing their job, but the tone and body language of the woman defense attorney is very rude and haughty. I rather enjoyed the judge’s response to her saying she didn’t want any of the charges read aloud.

Ive pretty much followed to whole proceedings. My question is - could he have gained a better outcome if represented by an attorney? To me, that doesnt seem likely!
I was wondering the same. He might of been able to plea a better outcome but would still be in prison for life just maybe not as many years.
Remember they offered him a sentence, Thank it was life or 6 life sentences. He turned it down. So it wouldn't make ant difference at all. The state did offer that while he had the attorneys

There's no denying he did it at this point. I am questioning his sanity and want a why, he deserves prison regardless and I know that he got it and that justice was served but I'm definitely wanting a why at this point.

If they only knew what this trial would turn into. The only reason Judge Durow allowed Mr. 'Who is you' to defend himself was because she was doing everything she could to not give him any reason for appeal (although in many cases I think all upper courts would have thrown out any appeal).
