Stunning. Superfruit wound up with a complete album, Future Friends, that features some really fantastic music, all with music videos for your viewing pleasure. Personal favorites of mine include Guy.Exe, Imaginary Parties, Goodbye from Lonely and the title track, Future Friends. For a look at the goofier side of Scott and Mitch, check out their Frozen medley (with a guest assist from Kirstie) and Partner Yoga, both from the blog series. And for all of the blog videos, keep watching after the Subscribe card at the end for bloopers! Loved your reaction to Rise, well done! Peace …
Scott and Mitch did this with Brian, Mario and Mary as a tribute the 49 people that were murdered and the additional 53 that were injured in the attack/massacre at Pulse Nightclub in Orlando in 2016. It is stirring, powerful and haunting.
Scott and Mario also do an unbelivable cover of LP's "Lost On You" with a twist...do yourself a favor and check out the original by LP first to really appreciate Scott and Mario's choices.
Yup...Superfruit is just Scott and Mitch. They decided years ago to begin a weekly vlog because they were roomies and just wanted something to have fun with. As Ruth said, it began as chats and fun challenges with friends occasionally, but got more serious a few years later. Eventually life got busy and they decided to stop the vlog in 2019. Some Superfruit suggestions: Guy. EXE, Frozen (feat Kirstie from PTX), Lost On You ( feat Mario that is in this video), Defying Gravity, Hiphop Goes Broadway, Empire medley, Happy Little Pill, Future Friends, Evolution of Lady Gaga, there's a lot more, but this should start you off.
SuperFruit is just Scott and Mitch…..more than enough! They often invite guests and friends to join them. It can get out of hand (in a fun way) in a hurry. The talent and creativity these two possess is off the charts, and always an adventure! Two fan favorites are their cover of “Defying Gravity” from the Broadway show ‘Wicked’ and their full blown music video of their original song “GUY.exe”. Hint - if you spot a thumbnail of anyone wearing a really bad blond wig, click on it IMMEDIATELY! You won’t regret it, I promise. But be warned…..FYI, always wait to make sure you catch the “Bloopers” reel at the end of most of their videos…..fans may come after you as a rabid mob with pitchforks if you miss it by stopping too soon! Great intro to this SuperDuo, the fun is just beginning!
Superfruit was a lot of fun. There’s some really good ones. My favorites are hip hop goes broadway 1 & 2 (funny) and the empire and Beyonce melodies (more serious)
In 2013, when Pentatonix was still trying to build an audience, and Scott and Mitch shared an apartment, they decided to start a vlog together. Most of the episodes were just them chatting, doing RUclips challenges and joking around, sometimes with guests. Occasionally they would do a musical vlog episode, like this, when they would get obsessed with a particular album or artist and arrange and record a medley or act out a musical scene. The fans will suggest some of the best episodes. In 2016, they got more serious about their music, wrote a bunch of songs, then worked with experienced pop producers to arrange and record about a dozen of them, released in 2017 on two EPs, Future Friends Part 1 & 2, later combined into a full album. They also filmed full music videos for almost all the songs -- sets, costumes, dancers, etc. The most viewed of the Future Friends videos is "GUY.exe"; a couple of my favorites are "Imaginary Parties" and "Hurry Up". After 2017, the vlog stopped except for one video single in 2019, a cover of When in Rome's "The Promise".
Scott & Mitch were amazing when they were living together! It's sad in a way that they've all grown up & are busy "adulting". But that talent - & their friendship - never dies.
@@shilohauraable But if they hadn't we'd have missed out on "Four." (Scott and Mark are so adorable together. Sometimes I wonder when they stop kissing long enough to order pizza.)
Yep, just Scott and Mitch are Superfruit. This was a one off, though there is a lovely duet available between Mario and Scott that is a must. Superfruit began as a Vlog when Mitch and Scott were roommates, and has a lot of humor, parodies, musical parodies and other silliness, but there is also MUSIC. They did some wonderful covers, evolutions, and medleys, just the two of them side by side with mics (and Scott's recorded piano backup). After all that, they created an incredible, original, full length EP called "Future Friends." Every song could have been a huge hit if it had the airplay it deserved, and every song has a full on music video (one of them actually has two, lol). Although the songs varied in tone, the EP as a whole was infused with their joyful humorous energy as a pair. Their song "Guy.exe" from the EP recently reached Gold status. They also did one other full on music video with their cover of "The Promise" starring Adam Rippon. They haven't done anything as Superfruit in several years, since they stopped being roommates. Besides always having a busy schedule with Pentatonix, they have each focused on personal lives (Scott got married) and solo side projects (Scott has a solo EP, "Parallel" and Mitch has put out an EP "Roses" and several single releases under the name "Messer"). Superfruit fans hold out hope that they may revisit their duo in the future. The deal is, they can do anything they want as side projects, but they all five agree to prioritize Pentatonix.
Yes, SuperFruit was Scott and Mitch. They used this channel as a vlog during the years when they were living together; their final post to SuperFruit was "The Promise," on February 14, 2019. Most of what you'll find on this channel is funny, the two exceptions being "Rise" and "The Promise." As a general rule, if it's on SuperFruit and it's funny stick around after the obvious end for the blooper reel. The exceptions to that rule are the official videos they made for their two albums: "Future Friends Part 1" and "Future Friends Part 2." Fan favorites include "Defying Gravity," "FROZEN MEDLEY (feat. Kirstie Maldonado)," and "GUY.EXE" (one of those official videos).
One of the best superfruit videos is their Empire Medley - you don't have to have seen the tv series 'Empire' to enjoy it. Hip-Hop goes Broadway (part 1 & 2) are also fantastic
First time watching your reaction video. Scott and Mitch of Pentatonix are Superfruit. Also, I'm letting you know that I will dive in your uploads in the next days and search for Pentatonix. 😁
Great reaction! Thanks. Just Scott n Mitch singing together with a piano is heavenly. They were born to sing together n no two voices have ever combined so well. Check out Empire Medley, Beyonce, Evolution of Miley Cyrus and Lady Gaga
Mario Jose and Scott Hoying did a mashup called Lost on You. They took the music from the movie Inception and combined it with Lost on You. Please check it out. I really enjoy your reactions. You're very expressive!!!
IMHO, this is the most powerful vocal ensemble performance ever (factoring in the performances, the subject, and the context.) But, it's not a capella (there's a piano.)
This wasn't technically a capella since there were background instruments throughout the majority of the song up to the big crecendo at the end. Superfruit (Mitch and Scott) are also NOT a capella and often use instruments in their music. As others have said, their double album Future Friends is mostly originals and the majority have videos. They also did weekly blog posts with some off color humor. All of their music is flawless. It's weird b/c I love Pentatonix but if I had to pick one on a 24 hour loop, it would be Superfruit.
I have a good one for you. Check out The Wizard Of Ahhhs, by Todrick Hall featuring Pentatonix. You will be amazed! The Wicked and Frozen medleys by Superfruit are must see videos also.
superfruit- defining gravity from wicked. hip-hop goes to broadway parts 1 & 2. they are short so most reactors do them both. also bloopers after each video
Superfruit was comprised of the LGBTQ+ members of Pentatonix, so at first it was Scott and Mitch but became Scott Mitch and Kirstie. When Kirstie came out and joined them the fans refused to acknowledge her as a member so they stopped the channel. The other comments show you exactly how many people refused to acknowledge Kirstie as a member.

Yes, Scott and Mitch always. This combo was a one off tribute in support of the Rainbow community after the Orlando pulse shooting.
GREAT!

Please, please react to more Superfruit! They really are my favorite!
Which song should i review next? :)
@ my favorite video is Guy.exe my favorite medley is Empire medley but there are soooo many, they have Gaga medley, Beyoncé, Rihanna (love this one).

I’ve watched this a hundred times at least and will happily watch it a hundred more❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Love, love, love this cover! If you haven't already, please react to Scott and Mario covering LP's Lost on You x Hans Zimmer

Check out Empire Medley, Beyonce, Evolution of Miley Cyrus and Lady Gaga
I'm going to say that I really feel this arrangement was very likely mostly arranged by Scott, it has his "fingerprints" all over it, PTX flavor.
Very interesting, but now that you have said, it makes sense. :)
Superfruit is just Scott and Mitch. Hurry Up and Guy EXE are very good also. I love this version of this song. Very powerful!
Amazing voices
Mario Jose and Scott Hoying did a mashup called Lost on You. They took the music from the movie Inception and combined it with Lost on You. Please check it out. I really enjoy your reactions. You're very expressive!!!
I will definitely do so! Thank you
Subscribed for more SuperFruit and more PTX ❤ They are amazing
IMHO, this is the most powerful vocal ensemble performance ever (factoring in the performances, the subject, and the context.)

The 2 PTX members, the others are friends. They do have people drop in on their performances.

Recommend their video of Guy.exe .
This is PTX x3...
Only Scott and Mitch....
This technically is not acapella... There's very clearly a piano being played
Great
Mario....
