So essentially I wasted my entire weekend leveling up a sorc just for the fun police to arbitrarily kick us in the nuts. Thx for disrespecting my time once again, Blizzard. I'm going back to playing POE.
This build takes advantage of a bug with hex powers doing reverse damage and if it stays in game I am playing it. Rod posted a video of it I think it will be fixed. This is like the exploit with anti venom that made some classes able to do 150 clears in non mythics low paragon.
cant wait to get my first occult gem. went from inc build to meteor...just got a corn helmet with a 3 sec :P. so blazing thruh stuff. But forgotten altars etc are more rare then....finding a diamand on the street.
Nerfed the sorcs and spiritborn again. Are they going to nerf the barb and necro too? Seems ridic that only necro and barb classes should be able to deal huge amounts of damage.
Decay Augmentation was disabled... so the build can't be played anymore.. I was also wondering.. why use two legendary occult gems? you are not using 3 eldritch and decay powers, or does "breath of the coven" counts as both eldritch and decay power?

my humble apologies in advance, but i think the witchpowers you have equipped are kind of wrong, since, if i am not mistaken, for witching hour to work you need 3 eldritch powers equipped and you only have 2. you are also missing the tooltip on the bar that shows the next core skill is an eldritch buffed one. great build never the less

I play here in Southeast Asia and the vast majority of Korean and Chinese players use modded gear then swap to regular gear on log out so you can’t tell. It’s easy to spot them because most of them have their profile set to private so you can’t see their gear. So take everything from Asian players with a big spoonful of salt.
Im really hesitant to try this because i feel itll get nerfed to shits in a few weeks so whats the point honestly. I might try it to grind better loot for an ACUTAL build that wont get nerfed due to a bugfix.
I'm of the notion that each season that devs secretly pick which class they'll make op and if another class is showing op results that wasn't planned they'll patch it come mid season

Thanks for the video. Sure wish we could get away from splitting focus on summoning paired with something else. I'd much prefer a straight up summoning, fire, ice, or lightning build that can stand on its own. I always feel like I need more skill points.
Why not also use the basic skill enchantment that makes all skills apply chill/freeze? Seems like we have a spare enchantment slot, and it would help trigger freeze more. Is the freeze time less or something?
How do you not have the Witch Gems yet??? Seems like no one at RGV does.... few runs of infernal hordes and there ya go. I am sitting on extra witch gems, heads and gem frags.. have every witch power purchased or found as well.
Wait.. i dont need to farm the green area for my restless rot? Ive never noticed that i may have been getting some from infernal hordes.. quick question, whats your way of farming the infernal horde compasses. Seems like my whole group is always down to 1 or 2 infernal hordes w 10 waves, and a few 8s.
@Whisky-sp8zed dont think the hordes give rot, but plenty of gem fragments... rot is quick on the endless pryers and cocoon events, just like they mentioned in todays video. Also make sure you have the Ashes you get from the season journey boosting you.

I am new to the game and I picked soc for my first character and I since I started playing late last season it is now eternal. And right now I don’t feel like going through that whole grind again on a new character (at least rn) until I get my mage powerful asf. So is there a way I can get close to this build without the seasonal bonus stuff
The "grind" to 60 is very minimal. run the seasonal areas with an elixer on and you will be to Paragon in no time. Paragon 1-200 also goes quick... play with others and it all goes even faster. If you run the incinerate leveling build, you will be done quickly...good luck!

i saw this build alrdy 3 days ago running around the witchtides. and RGM is always mentioning and giving credits to the original creators btw. the title says "Found" at the end. they dont even take credits to the most builds they post. i love this transparency of RGM !!

So tired of PITS being the overarching way for builders to decide if a build is fun... when hardly any build that can do 110+ Pits are any fun at all... Most of us just want to do like 90+ pits and have FUN doing it... not rely on broken stuff, use firebolt against packs of enemies, etc.
Pits are the best way to gauge power tho, you can increase level by level and determine if your build is improving. It also provides an easy comparison to other builds given its an objective number for the pit cleared
The prob is blizz internally picks which class will be strong each season.. and its that class that will go the highest in pits.. It's really lazy game design because if they didn't tie Leveling glyphs to pits, most players wouldn't do pits. If they put glyph Leveling to infernal horde that's where some will go. And honestly speaking unless players copy a meta build, their own personal build isn't going far in pits, example if I were to do a charged bolts build, that ain't getting me far because blizz already determined that spec ain't go no love this season

This build is centered around a bug. For those of you who complain/cry about a build thats OP because of a bug and then it gets nerfed, cry. Its not intended. Go complain abiut something else. Its been patched too

Prob with incin is that it kills too slow come t3 and above.. mobs can easily circle you while channeling.

To be fair, using Shatter is always some kind of bug abuse.
Its not scaled probably and dipping more than it should.
He did say why shatter was used in the past.. but its the ticks of the witch power that makes shatter, really shatter lol

The meteor build in D3 was like that, but you could make them appear translucent so it wasn't so bad. Unfortunately you cannot in D4

Decay is disbled by the DEVs to be "fixed". This build no longer works. i.e. Decay is the reason it worked.

Just the normal fireball build with gloves of the illuminator is a perfectly viable powerful build.
