"She's our Shwacker"!!!!!!! I love that people are stepping out of their comfor zone, doing builds and findings ways to make their whacker their own. Great idea using the plastic bin as drawer. I may have to steal the "toe covers" idea; My husband has a shaved head and if there is a corner he will find a way to hit his head on it.
OK I seriously have to ding you for not mentioning the Outland Propane Fire Pit. Along with the Biolite Firepit+ it's a real game changer when it comes to enjoying a campfire. I could go on and on about it, but I will mention only one ABSOLUTELY CRITICAL feature, and that's the fact that you can use it whenever there's a fire/burn ban wherever you might be camping. I think it's a must-have item if you're going camping in the west, where fire bans are almost everywhere these days. I may have to look at that Newair again.
You’re 100% right, they’re clutch. I’ve met a bunch of people who even cook on them. The Newair is a home run for value, I’ve been really happy. Although, when I saw Chads Iceco, I had a little fridge envy 😂
Yes, the awnings attached to the roof rack of the Bushwhacker. There are several Iron Man options, and we've included links to the exact sizes for the ARB in the description.
Does the ARB awning sit above the rack, increasing the overall height? I was barley able to maneuver our Bushwhacker into our garage by lifting the front pushing it in and then dropping the front to lower the front bracket and push it in. Very awkward but I’m wondering if the awning will get in the way and I’ll have to mount and remove it after pulling it out of the garage.
It doesn’t sit up above the roof rack, but because it’s long, it will make it more awkward getting it in your garage. Some folks get a quick release option that allows them to take the awning off very quickly.
@@DIYOutdoorLife Hey, I ordered the Arb awning quick release (part 813408). There are 4 types but this is the only one that looks like it mounts from the side (other 3 doesn’t seem like it’ll work). The Bushwhacker 10HD that I purchased is a “new” 2022. The roof rails have 4 holes whereas the quick release has 6… there’s no other options that I see with 4 holes on the side. You are sure that quick connects can mount to these, right? Also… is the rear roof rail on the Bushwhacker supposed to start sloping down? It looks like the holes won’t line up with the front rails because of it. Or are they all like this and there’s enough give to mount awnings?
@@kevindashid although I chose to go with the canopy over an awning, I have seen hundreds of Bushwhackers with a ARBs online and dozens in person. I know some have gone with quick connects for the same reason as you. As far as details, I have never done the installation. Seeing how common they are, I’m sure it’s not challenging. The early bushwhackers, like mine, did not have pre-drilled holes. I know a lot of people just drilled the holes themselves from a template. The modification became so popular, that they added it to the free solo and provided pre-drilled holes on the bushwhackers. If you have trouble setting things up, reach out and I will connect you with one of the people who’ve done this modification.
This family is my kind of handy. Even I could make these mods. Love it.
They did a great job making their campsite a home away from home.
Thanks for watching!

Another fun vid from the bushwacker community. Love them Brian. You can tour our free solo next time your in the Yucatan MX area. 🙂
Is that where you are?? Did you buy your FS in Mexico?
Which Ironman do you have? Does it attach to the trailer?

What a fun couple and awesome camper/ideas to boot! Also enjoyed the river trip, LOL’d @ “feetsies” 😂
They’re the best! You should go to next years, we’re heading back.
I like the shoe rack idea! No gratuitous shots of Ripple?
They wouldn’t let her go tubing! 😂
you gave a link to the ARB instead of ironman
Thank you, I should put a note by that, I couldn’t find Ironman on Amazon.

@@DIYOutdoorLife thanks! I’ll have to look up what the quick connect is

@@DIYOutdoorLife thanks, man! I’m hoping for the best and not need any additional help!
