That is fantastic, as I’d expect, Sean! You’re really getting the little details that imbue the music of this particular era with a magic that sadly doesn’t exist anymore. I think that’s why it is so appealing to come across a cover like this today. It’s very entertaining and rewarding to see and hear you bringing this great music into the present. 🤘🤘
Many thanks Maestro Deyan! In what seems like another life, I did a short stint as a programmer for Tran Tracks MIDI Sequences way back in the early '90s. It seems I am being pulled back to my roots. It's so cool that much of this same vintage gear still interfaces with today's modern technology. Opcode MIDIMAC, MOTU, Performer, Vision... Oh, the memories! It just goes to show that MIDI truly was ahead of its time, still going strong 40 years later! 👍
Man, you really nailed those synth sounds once again Sean! Well shot and edited too -- I had no idea there was so much going on with the keyboard in some parts. Great work dissecting this song and putting all the pieces together. Incredible job! 👍👍💥💥🤘🤘
Thank you Mr. Mister Mike! I look back to the days I spent endless hours MIDI sequencing track after track, carefully listening to each instrumentation, and trying to emulate every little nuance. I could justify the time invested because I got paid. I never thought I would find myself doing it all over again decades later, for nothing more than the love of music. Yeah, I'm gonna check myself and start looking into some other hobbies. 😜 #retirementrocks 🤘
Thank you for the keys comment. As for the karaoke vocals comment, I agree with you 💯. Richard Page is a great singer, and I find his voice to be surprisingly difficult to emulate. Oh well, I tried my best... and this RUclips channel is just a fun retirement hobby for me, so I don't take it too seriously! 😊
