When you play as RAAM in this dlc you place seeders in key point of the city, these all fire nemesis into the air which hinder communication and spread black, ink like gas into the air. The ink serves as fog, blacking out any light and as a result because there are so many, no sunlight can penetrate the ink. This allows RAAM to bring out the kryll as there is no light to burn them. Its what its left from his personal army in the rise of raam comics, all the other locust that were his personal guards like 2 other Theron guards, his own corpser and a loot of boomers/grinders die in the war and that Theron was the last of them The why raam dont train more to be his guards probably was because he never thought of needed them or lack of time The why he dont train more to have better soldiers was because of lack of time in the war due to raam going personally to the fights, and in one of the comics you learn that Raam train the mayority of the palace guards of gears 2 and 3 (the Golden therons) Sorry for the bad english

They should make a gears of war game but it's more about kim. Like him and raam. I think it would be awsome too see them encounter each other again. Way before kim died. But maybe when RAAM was a theron guard. But a badass one. Of course. Just to show how RAAM maybe hated kim and how much kim hated RAAM. Jonny Oliveira Darkspawn with Guns. The Modern age Blight! lol
Barrick’s ex-wife was so crazed she made a Locust Berserker look like a fluffy kitten
I'm surprised Raam doesn't have his OWN PERSONAL bodyguards with him.
Im late but, you see that Theron guard elite? Its what its left from his personal army in the rise of raam comics, all the other locust that were his personal guards like 2 other Theron guards, his own corpser and a loot of boomers/grinders die in the war and that Theron was the last of them
The why raam dont train more to be his guards probably was because he never thought of needed them or lack of time
The why he dont train more to have better soldiers was because of lack of time in the war due to raam going personally to the fights, and in one of the comics you learn that Raam train the mayority of the palace guards of gears 2 and 3 (the Golden therons)
Sorry for the bad english
I have watched a lot of horror movies in my life and so much so that I dont even get scared anymore. But man the part in the starting where you play as Raam got me scared so much that I cannot sleep now.
Tai: delivers inspiration quote to child
Corpser: evil grinch smile.
Best gears of war dlc ever made and released to this day showing both sides of the conflict and my boy raam being a beast god I love this series
Almost 6 years later, and no one bothered to mention the audio cutting out at 1:00:31
ikr
I'm curious is Gears of War ultimate edition going to include Raam's Shadow?
Another Amazing Video
Not a single active reload made... why does that bother me so! lol Thanks for the vid. Fun memories.

@@Lx-cg7nm Really? 1... i stand corrected! lol BUT IT STILL BOTHERS ME LOL
@@DarkMikaruX To be honest tho, he doesn't execute anymore after. Torturing
@@Lx-cg7nm RIGHT!! It's like that one active was an accident! lol LIKE... FINGERNAILS ON A CHALKBOARD lol
I love the gears of war franchise.
Playing Raam is a point and click adventure game
I was 3 years old when this released, never played it but it's crazy thinking that the series is this old.
35:54 guys corpse got slam dunked into the ring. How the hell did he get up there?
No wonder it is called RAAM's Shadow. With RAAM leading, the Locust absolutely decimated everyone.
The city in this game is Illima. Its actually the city from Gears of War 2 that's sunk by the Riftworm. You fight through the ruins in Gears 2 before you get swallowed by that damn thing.
The sad thing is: all of the major characters in this game except for Jace are dead by Gears 3. Well and maybe Dr. Wisen, but he's just a background character. Valera died in this game, Kim and RAAM died in Gears 1, Tai in Gears 2 and Barrick died in the comic series taking place between Gears 1 and 2. Literally everyone but Jace is now dead.
Wasn’t RAAM banished into the Shadow Realm after being beaten at a children’s card game?
If any of you see this. read the Rise Of RAAM Comics. it gives you insight on this complete DLC from a RAAM, Skorge, and Ukonn POV
I forgot how bad ass RAAM was he killed so many gears with his big ass knife
Instead of Michael there was supposed to be a younger Clayton Carmine but this got scrapped do two fans wanting to see Michael Was pick in stead be case fans of the comics wanted a new character fun fact
Like if you Clayton Carmine this like if you wanted Michael
I'd being surely agreed when there'd being the announcement made by the highly authority levels about the quick emergency evacuated but stayed in calm for the smoothie and safety instead of the earliest movement they'd being make a secret withdrawn togetherness with their family's covered by their bodyguards also the quick transferred of their liquid assets under the full security surveillance by the HQ Special Branch Units.
Why the fuck Isnt barrick in literally any other game besides this one, he’s a goddamn badass!
Because he's dead between Gears 1 and 2, dying the comics series.
God, I hate it so much when the people uploading the cutscenes are also just the worst players imaginable.
Am I the only one who thinks that Michael barrack is some kind of father figure to jace
1:20 remember little one, you have just dropped your ball and had a main character pick it up and give you a life lesson. this means you are not long for this world.
General RAAM scares the shit out of me every time and has sum big ass body guards
why do all the soldiers with the helmets always dies??? probably its bad luck
If you meant the Carmine family, its a running joke that all of them "Arent good at surviving", thus getting killed at some point in the game they appear
Anthonys description in the first GoW said something like "He was selected as 'The one most likely to get shot' in the academy' "
Mirror / Overdose I know but I mean every unknown soldier with the helmets
فليم٠سكس
D-MOD crew Probs just background soldiers that just get killed for the sake of not giving the player help
Yeah, probably is. Let's just hope another Carmine doesn't die.
Interestingly enough originally it was supposed to be four gears who would later die in the series and one draft. Another words that have Clayton
The first time I played Gears of Wars is when I was 8, I never had any regrets playing this.
30:50 Barrick got a luh bit of jokes 🤣🤣
did that little kid die at the start
I feel bad for that kid and all of my comrades that die throughout this campaign.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME YOU LITERALLY SAID "why feel bad for them?" IN THE OTHER COMMENT SECTION YOU STUPID GEAR ILL CALL RAAM ON YOU
Sxldierz - if tai would of just said "get them out" or something like that then the kid would of probably survived
kennynito 34
Dude, that transport got flipped. How anyone can survive that is not possible, let alone a kid.
Scythe - yea he got dragged down with the corpser
Raam just rising out of the ground with his sidemen is the scariest/hardest clip ever
Here comes caravan palace
Lone digger kicks in
It had a great transition from scene to scene
Imagine not cooling down the turrets by holding rb
Wish they have these types of music in co-op or horde
As always.....Awesome job!!!!
I remember killing ram by tagging him with a grenade in the first game :') He really was one tough dude
Does this game take place before Gears 1,2 and 3 or same time ?
Tody Rich Before Gears 1.
Gamer's Little Playground
thanks man.. Also I love watching your work.
+Gamer's Little Playground ighrvkbxubfkftbbz
+Tody Rich This is from the first months of the War agaisnt the Locusts
+David Cortes this is actually ten years after E-Day
53:00 that poor things back
38:37 Barrick: well she was almost as tuff as my ex
Awesome as I don't know what!!
Ok how do I get this dlc? From ultimate edition or 3?
It's from GOW 3
Gamer's Little Playground
Yooo this is lima city the one which gets fucking destroyed by the big ass worm lmao
It would make even more sense because he looks into the eyes of a monster that he has seen and encountered more than once. Before kim gets stabbed this goes to the classic one not the remastered of gears of war 1.
I guess raam holds grudges, now I know why he was out for Minh
