This is why Akaza'a backstory and character is best written . EVERY single other demon is motivated through their own reasons to be demons but Akaza is the only one who was made demon when his will was completely broken . His backstory , his character development in just a few chapters of how he starting changing as he remembered his past life changes his entire character for me . We also found out his hate for "weak people" come from how "weak people poison well and killed his loved one and are cowards as they don't fight face-to-face" . I recently re-watched Akaza vs Rengoku and I realized of how much he was trying not to kill Rengoku and was close to begging him to turn demon and not die .
Akaza is the only Upper Moon who broke through Muzan's manipulation , never killed or ate a female , also never ate strong hashira's bodies in respect to their strength . To this day Akaza's final pose as he was vanishing in air is one of my favorite manga pages . I too am not easy to tear up but his backstory and his end just made my face a waterfall 😭😭 His whole motivation to become stronger unconsciously comes from how he wanted to protect his loved ones and even after forgetting them he still was motivated to grow strong despite not knowing why .

Congrats on 8K This fight was so insane as Giyu is my favourite Hashira and Akaza is my Favourite Demon,The fact that giyu never had to use his full strenght tho...imagine if he had trained like that for the years he has been a hashira he would surely be a contender for the #1 spot but for now he stays at 2 after Gyomei ,While Akaza too is a parallel to Giyu,also not giving his all despite the urge to become stronger,he never ate women,I love the parallels and i love that they made them fight, truly my favourite battle of the Show,Pure peak fiction

14:57 its becuase akaza blood demon art which he used which look liked snow flake ❄that thing matches with oppoenent battle spirit and matches speed accordingly and attacks are like aimbot 💀
3:35 the fact that only Akaza that hunts down/running into both tanjiro and giyu by himself instead of they got lost and accidentally run into an upper moon like the other other hashira. That shows how Akaza differs from the other upper moons

tbh, giyu was the best hashira whofought an "all out akaza". akaza blood demon art is so broken that no one would ever figure it out. tanjiro was lucky to witness rengoku vs akaza. And giyu tanked akaza final form was insanee. his dead calam partially worked coz his blade was brokeb or he could have negated it like disorder. akaza can be defeated only by selfless state but only sun breathers know how to activate selfless state. but strongest hashira gyomei maybe he can defeat coz of his wepon.
giyu is so strong he fought an all out akaza with his compass needle on. IMO he is 2nd strongest as u will see later in manga :)
