Frieren will be posted on Wednesday moving forward for YT only. The publish date will remain the same on our website. This is to help with publishing for upcoming weeks.
I always imagined that they looked at Frieren, and they went "we need to balance this mage somehow. Hey, let's put her with these two that keep attacking each other." Granted, not really addressed, but that's always how I figured Frieren ended up with Kanne and Lawine. The 2000 mages mentioned are the total in the Mage Association, but mages are a lot less common overall.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, Ubel reminds a lot of Lust (from Fullmetal Alchemist). And you should definitely listen to how Ubel sounds in the dub; her voice actress did a great job giving her a seductive, yet unsettling voice.
6:34 As technology progresses, there becomes less of a need for magic because you're able to do the same thing that magic accomplishes without needing to go through years of training. It's sort of like how many household skills like baking and weaving have been lost over the generations because of how convenient things have gotten. At least that's how I interpret it.
I'm sure in the past there was more of a need for mages because there was more conflict with demons. Now that demons are becoming more active again the number of mages might start to climb as well to combat them.
Specifically, these two new characters are like counterparts or inverses to Fern and Stark. Lawine is similar in character design, but she wears cuter or more outstanding clothes, and she's more aggressive and assertive. The other is more confident in herself than Stark, she's female, she's a mage, and she doesn't seem to be as timid or afraid to antagonize Lawine. Also, unlike Stark and Fern, these two aren't so awkward that they won't speak their minds, leaving Frieren to need someone like Sein to act as a mediator. Basically, they're more of a headache, but at least, Frieren can easily understand the cause of the issues they may be having.
A Dub vs Sub argument for Frieren is so odd to me cause I really think it comes down to one being in a language with inflections and tones you’re not familiar with so it is perceived as more mono and deadpan than it actually is. Causing the language you do understand to sound “off” when the characterization is actually pretty accurate.
There's also the fact that they're already used to the Japanese voice, so of course it sounds weird when a different voice comes out of Frieren's mouth. Subs vs dubs these days just comes down to whichever one you watch first is gonna seem "better" to you.
When are the Dub vs Sub: Frieren videos coming out? 👀Please tell me you did Stark too cause who I really wanted you guys to experience his dub voice actor 😌

Wish they react 2 Castle 🏰🏯 🏯🏰 Noctrine recent epic 😎 trailer.
The character development in this arc is something else. You will love all these folks by the time this part is over.
I love how when Frieren pulled them down she turned around but left the other two facing the lake so they got splashed.
My GOAT Denken has arrived
The goat. Doesn't even need magic
"I cast, these hands!"
Out of mana, but not out of hands.
damn, kraft was forgotten
I mean he IS the forgotten hero.
Lore-accurate.
Thay girl definitely not interested to watch , just look at her 😂
Accurate to Kraft Lore
Navi and Suraj have begun morphing into the same person
😊😭😭😊😂🤣🤎♥️
I’m excited for y’all to see the end of both the 1st and 2nd tests. They are really hype.
I would watch the spinoff for each and every one of these new mages if there were one.
Some amazing characters appear in this arc. Hope that you guys enjoy it!
The myth, the legend, the last great mage, Frieren, the slayer...... has entered the chat.

Not a spoiler, but you're gonna see Ubel fight. Remember to think back to these bandits & what would have happened if Kraft didn't come by. 😨
Yay Ubel takes the stage.
The Sorcerer among wizards.
@@MeriliremYes, she's definitely a cut above the rest.
The Japanese VA was very jarring going from a dub watcher. (I'm not starting a war, I was just expecting the low-sinister voice vibe.)

@darknessunknown4384 her dub voice is great but like friren it's very different then the sub but is still 100% fitting
Finally we're here!
Idgaf if Ubel is crazy she can still absolutely get it😤

There she is the red flag everyone wants.

Yep, sub vs dub debates are basically one long, meandering rambling about something as simple as personal preference.
Frieren acquired 2 Platonic Lesbians 🐐🐐🐐
And they were roommates.
@@ecksearoh6283 oh my god they were roommates.
lol enclose area let that sink in....

Normies don't know about the internet or anime websites.... or how to search for things. Interesting ;)
