Kintaro is the sweetest Baby Gorilla. He can make everybody love him. I love him and his Family. They bring joy to my heart and I’m guessing lots of people around the world. It’s so wonderful to see Gentaro holding his little brother and Kintaro just sitting on Gentaro’s lap! This is really all I think Gentaro has wanted to do since Kintaro was a little itty bitty baby. He’s such a sweet boy and I’m so glad you got this on video for all those people who had nasty harsh things to say about him when he was younger. I love their relationship now.

Maybe you should find documentries about gorilla and see if this part of their nature, it could be a dominance thing. I have watched an listened to many documentaries on gorillas. And yes it is part of being an adolescent gorilla. It is a behavior that goes on in the wild.

Gentaro meant no harm. He is sweet and gentle. He always has time to play with little brother. And he is a very handsome gorilla. So I have to defend him. 😄
I just love watching the brotherly bond between Gentaro and Kintaro. You can tell they really enjoy playing and interacting. I know Gentaro will likely be moved in the next year or two. Kintaro is lucky to have a big brother during his early years.

LOLOL...Genki is famous for being "protective" of her food, so maybe sweet Gentaro got a *little too close* (around 1:37 -ish to Mama's pile of delicious leafy "salad greens on a stick", so she let him know it under no circumstances...She was saying,"Move back son"!!! HaHaHa Seriously, watching those special, gentle, & tender, loving moments between the two precious brothers always make me teary eyed...They're just so very, very special... *: )*
It appears Genki is hurting. I think when Gentaro put his other hand on her head the additional pressure might have cause her pain. I don't think she's a grouch...I think she's in suffering. If her teeth are bad and her stomach hurts...she's handling it better than most.
Love to watch baby Kintaro and Gentaro relaxing...only God knows what are they thinking about. Usually Gentaro gets the short change. I didn't know about Genki's wound hope she heals soon❤
Just got around to this video today and it is wonderful. Solid proof the brothers love each other. Gentaro just wants the love that we always see Kintaro getting. Mom has to still keep her eye on Kintaro as I am sure she did with Gentaro when she got him back from zookeepers(taken because Genki couldn't produce milk, then returned to her at 10 1/2 months). Although with Gentaro there wasn't another sibling to protect him from. So Genki's just being a mom making sure both of her sons are safe. Now Gentaro is just a little rougher because he is coming into adulthood, like human teenagers. They are a perfectly fine family and love watching them everyday. Only thing better would be if I could be in Japan and watch them everyday in person. Thanks for the video!🦍🦍🦍
It's great to see the love between the brothers! Gentaro will be a great Silverback interacting appropriately with his offspring. He was just 6 yr old when Kintaro was born & took all mom's time & energy. He suddenly was not the center of attention - jealousy. And perhaps in a gorilla world, his behavior is normal.

Genki is very protective and affectionate towards kintaro. She protects Gentaro also when Momantro gets aggressive. But she only shows very brief moments of affection towards Gentaro. Not sure if she is holding bad memories of Gentaro's jealous behaviour towards kintaro or is it normal behaviour of Gorilla families towards older gorillas to make them more independent and find their own troops. you can see Gentaro feeling sad when mom got upset with him. He is probably thinking I have been such a good boy playing with kintaro nicely. she still gets upset: (
Have you seen videos of Gentaro growing up, she was getting affectionate with him considering she got him back at ten months old and so was his farther. Gentaro was the cheeking little star until Kentaro was born.

Lionesses stop sharing their kills with their grown up sons and brothers when its time for the young lions to find their own prides. Animals very intelligent . I was saddened to see Genki hit Gentaro, I wondered if it is because Kinataro had been feed and she values her mom time with him and gets jealous when Gentaro want's his time with his brother, (she got upset the other day also after she was feeding with him)or if there is something else.
He should really be around more gorilla children his age. He is always stressing Genki for no reason and she gets annoyed by him when he only wants her affection
Gentaro turns 9 next month. It probably won't be long before they separate him from that troop. That'll be the best thing that could happen to him. When the time comes, he's going to make a wonderful silverback/father.
I am starting to think something is wrong with her head, if you watch he is grooming and then looks to the side and his hand wandered to her head and it seemed to me she jumped in pain, they said she holds her head when it gets cold but that looked like a flinch from pain and explains the moods just my thoughts

I love Gintaro. I wish he would have had more time with his mom since he was separated from her for 2 years. That's hard to carry no bonding so important for mother and son. So he will have backlash against her now. Your institution should have thought of this and incorporating mom sooner. You all knew you could have done it sooner. Poor Gintaro lost precious time, and now hes angry. Uff
I feel sad for Gentaro. It seems all he was trying to do was care for his old, broke down, ailing mother and she hit him. That made Gentaro sad, obviously. She does that a lot. She is so darn grouchy. 😣
do not think of them as human beings. her mother knows he has to learn to be independent (gorillas are so much more independent than chimpanzees). in no time he will be an adult to have his own family. Remember that Momotaro started living with Genki when he was 10 years old.

Can probably make a big difference in teenager gentaro's life. In a year's time it can judged how much gentaro is been longing for a friend a play mate ff his age to play and hv fun. Now that gentaro has no-one around him for any activity or play. Gentaro is always wrestling with little toddler kintaro. Gentaro will forget fighting with little child kintaro. When Gentaro's attention will be towards his new boyfriend or gentaro age play mate. We wonder now a days why gentaro is not playing and wrestling with dad momotaro. Few ff the above suggestions can make a difference in Gentaro's life. Gentaro has no other activities. It's Mannier times sad to hear these names like molester Child Abuse for gentaro. You could say the same for Kentaro with his farther they rarely play ,and it's nothing like Gentaro and him.
