You did a great job! :) I am sure this will be helpful to a lot of people out there. I cut my hair myself ever since I was 15 years old and had a hairdresser cut my bra strap length hair into a bad Amélie hair cut (it just did not suit me like it did her), and I had not even asked for that cut, I just had asked for a few long layers! I typically now do the unicorn cut on my wavy/curly hair (booty length) and it works out for me.
