Thank you for the excellent nail art painting techniques tutorials. You break it up into logical ‘achievable’ parts, and explain everything you’re doing, beautifully. Everyone new to nail art should watch and learn. 😊💗💕💕
Your videos are amazing!! you are a wonderful teacher, I am getting ready to start a nail tech course to pursue a long time passion of mine and I will be using your videos as reference for nail art tutorials thank you so much for sharing these techniques they are more valuable than you know ;)
Hi ariane! your videos are so informative and useful. Thank you! I am purchasing Art gels and debating between the presto jars and bottles..do you have both? If so, can you say what the difference between the jarred vs. bottle is if anything besides the obvious lol (if there are other brands of art gel you like please mention also
I haven't tried the bottle version but @NailGurl NYC just uploaded a review. she talks about the opacity and brush so it could be helpful in deciding between the two. I personally like the jars because you get every drop, since the container is open and easy to dip into. They're especially useful when mixing your own colors as well. I would assume the jars are a bit thicker in viscosity as well. You can absolutely use acrylic paint, it will just create a different look. Acrylic paint needs to be watered down to work with jt more easily. So the opacity and vividness of your colors could be affected. Also the consistency is much much different. In my opinion gel is easier to draw with because it self levels. So it kind of corrects itself. Sometimes with gel nails the acrylic paint adheres better to a rougher surface so you have to take the extra step of buffing the gel 1st. If using regular nail polish it isn't necessary though. And as i mentioned before its just looks different. The look of gel art vs acrylic art is distinctive just like any other art. Watercolor looks different to an oil painting. And an oil painting looks different to an acrylic painting.
Your videos are great! I have just expanded to gel, only for personal use. I struggle with the smell of regular polish and most especially acrylic. Gel, I can handle, I am just having to learn the difference between gel and polish technique. They are very different to work with. I have been searching everywhere for an American based company that sells gel art paint that will not cost an arm and. Leg. I don't wanna wait on any to come from overseas and I don't EBay. So I was happy that the website you bought theses from is in California. Plus there are different brands that are very affordable. Thank you for the info! I do have a question, can you foil over them? I bought some 3D gel and they do not work for foiling. I have seen where you can foil over gel art paint, just wondering if these work.
What do you search when you buy those nails you put art on? I try to look for them on Amazon but the sets come with different sizes I just want one size
Absolutely, some gel polishes are more pigmented and better suited for art than others. For example Vetro No. 19 Gel Pods use a star system, so colors with 3 stars are very pigmented & opaque so they can be used for art as well as all over color.
abetweene just brought a born pretty black and white art gel and some of there new brushes, hopefully that will help me more x thank u I will definitely shout you out in my next freehand video as I think your great to watch x
I have said to clients to hold their hands up so I can see their nails and the lines seem straight, just hate ruining a good nail art with a squint line xxx

Do u recommend gel paints for freehand ? I find gel polish a bit dull ?

Hi
Hey
Skillz
thanks
I always do horizontal lines squint, its 100% my fault. Vertical lines are perfect, horizontal lines are awful
I have said to clients to hold their hands up so I can see their nails and the lines seem straight, just hate ruining a good nail art with a squint line xxx
😍😍😍😍😍😍
