You'd be surprised how many series actually do that. Everyone talks about Klingon and Elvish, but what about Atlatean? All the lines they use in that language have litteral direct translations from the language they invented for a 90 minute movie.

Hilda is such an awesome show to watch. Bella Ramsey is such a great voice actor and Lucy Montgomery is an OG when it comes to voice acting. I remember Lucy from Mongrels as the voice of Destiny the Afghan Hound

I don't think it is ever officially stated, but many people have commented that the landscape and infrastructure resemble that of Norway. This is further strengthened by the many creatures stemming from Norse mythology.
@@TantalusStudios the only doubts come from the marra being a piece of Slavic folklore (yet having an American accent), and just many major characters (even the one with an Icelandic name) having huge UK accents (not Irish though for some reason.. I mean David is seemingly Welsh but no Irish love)
There is always the fact that it may not supposed to be in any actual world as we know it, just pulling from the different sources. As far as accents, that may not have been written into the character specifically so most you just end up with the native accent of the voice actor themselves.

Steven Universe did the same thing IIRC, there was an episode where they went to “Korea” but there was no North/South Korea, their version was just one country
