Bigfoot #8 I think still has advantages to today's monster trucks in 2021. Such a supple ride, almost more like a baja truck than anything you'd see at Monster Jam. Truly phenomenal engineering from the Bigfoot team
#8 was a HUGE deal when it came out. Patented Cantilever suspension, tubular CAD chassis. She pretty much laid out the groundwork for all future monster trucks and the departure of old school straight frames and leaf springs. Might have been the first Bigfoot with a full fiberglass body too? Not sure on that one though. Also, Andy Brass, Gene Patterson and Dan Runte are my top of the Bigfoot alumni. Grew up watching them in the 90s and the PENDA series.
I love this version of Bigfoot 8!!!! More footage from this version of 8 will always be welcome!!!! Would love to see Avilla IN TNT event footage from May 1988!!!! Please and thank you 😁
@@xbox627 I don't mind the talking, gives you a idea of what was being discussed. Plus I'm sure Bob wasn't like "you all be quiet, I'm trying to get all this on video!" It's raw and tell what was all going on during this era.
I am just glad that Bob had the for thought to record any and everything when it comes to his trucks and shows it really is a history of the entire company on tape
Number 8 with mufflers should have become the standard Bigfoot sound. No one else had anything like it -- sounds so much cooler than a traditional setup. As a kid, it's one of the things that hooked me on Bigfoot because it sounded futuristic.
Dennis Anderson may have made "monster jam" what it is today but let's face it Bigfoot made Monster trucks what they are today......would be interesting to see what would've happened if bigfoot stayed in the circuit
I was looking to remind myself of which # was the beginning of the 3rd generation of trucks, I remember the body roll and the sound of the engine of this truck. The moment I heard it I knew this was it. Very unique at the time.
It was a damn shame that TNT Motorsports had to put this truck on the shelf for two months after the two shows when they battled out in Albuquerque 32 years ago on TUFF TRAX. Scott Stephens of King Krunch was against this deal going on and he voiced his disdain for the switch on the TUFF TRAX season opener and the rest of the 1990 season and as I watch that crazy action now 32 years later here on RUclips, I'm like get the heck over it already!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wonder how far along was the building process of #9 was cause this if I'm not mistaken this was late September of 1989 and #9 debuted some time in February of 1990. Then at the end of the 1990 TNT Series Bob had said that he had built a 3rd chassis which would have been for #10, but TNT was bought out and then Penda Series came along and #10 would eventually get a totally different design and that 3rd replica chassis of #8 & 9 would become later on Bigfoot #12. Goes to show that Bob had the plans after #8 to start rolling out these new stage 3 trucks.
With this truck being restored and getting the finishing touches I seen on Bigfoots Facebook page a post of the next project.🤔 When it was announced many years ago about Bigfoot 22 being a 3rd Concussion chassis I was like cool. Now after seeing that post it really had me like 🤔 cause it was just a chassis with no shock towers or a roll cage. Bigfoots 18 and 21 came with all that so I'm curious to see what next for this new project.
Used for many years with different bodies. The engine blew years ago and they put it into storage. However, since the fall they pulled it out and have been restoring it, follow Bigfoot on facebook and instagram, plenty of pictures of the progress. As of right now, it doesn't have an engine and transmission yet, but it has a freshly painted Starr Creations 87-91 F-Series Fiberglass body with the racer stripe scheme that really made it famous.
👏👏👏👏 to Bob Chandler for always wanting to video just about anything and everything.
I wish there was not footage of 5

The day the rest of the Monster Truck world realized they were in Big Big trouble.. never get tired on BF8 videos
Such a beautiful truck...
I always loved the sound of #8 with the Flowmasters and pipes on it!
This is definitely my first time seeing this footage.

If my memory serves me correct it only lost once its debuting year, due to mechanical failure and not its performance.
Best sounding truck they had right next to the old Alan root original that was built for #1
Unmistakable
I always thought #7 had a distinct sound to it as well. I can usually tell #7 by its sound alone.
I love this version of Bigfoot 8!!!! More footage from this version of 8 will always be welcome!!!! Would love to see Avilla IN TNT event footage from May 1988!!!! Please and thank you 😁
Love this type of footage!
no talking over video or music ruining sound of the truck

The one and only Jim Kramer behind the wheel.
And then we have Mr. Andy Brass who would become a multi time champion for Team Bigfoot.
The one who changed it all 💪🇺🇲😎🙏
I just came here to see the King.

It’s nice hearing that super charger whine sometimes, but I prefer to hear the open headers of that Big Block Ford.
These are the right size an dimensions of monster truck wheels. yeeaahawwwww!
Bigfoot 8's idle is sweet 👌
Now the question is if there's going to be a part 3 and 4 from this event? Quite sure that there's plenty of footage.

Goodness, this is so freaking cool! Love the behind the scenes footage. Thank you guys 🙏🏼
Excited for future footage of Number 8 once the refresh is complete.

Very cool see this type of footage. Thank you for the vids.
Thanks for posting this! Keep the awesome content coming!!!👍👍
epic
I want the origional road legal version for commuting to work.
Awesome ... Amazing... :)
I find it funny how the old tubular chassis monster trucks kept their body’s intact on the truck unlike today. why is that.

I rememeber they had this on tv an Had music to it.
Sweet🤘👍
i'm having trouble with these videos coming in right
@2:57 - sounds like the truck could have used some Simple Green to make the tires grip better . . . . . .
NOT ALLOWED! EVEN IF YOU RUB YOUR HAND ON THE TIRES!
