    Commentary: Madison Walker and The Disc Golf Guy
    Wisconsin's top rated course sets the stage for the opening round of the 2019 Silver Cup. Rollin' Ridge is a private course located just west of Manitowoc and ranks as one of the best in the country.
    2018 Champion, Adam Hammes will headline the card along with previous Silver Cup Champions, Barry Schultz, Garrett Gurthie and Cale Leiviska. Florida's own Calvin Heimburg has yet to claim a Silver Cup title but he's looking to change that here in 2019.
    Thank you to the staff and crew at Rollin' Ridge along with the tireless efforts of tournament director, Jim Van Lanen and all of his sponsors for making this event and coverage happen.

    I will forever now not see Cale blowing on his disc when I watch him play. Thanks for the coverage!

    Rollin Ridge is an absolutely amazing course. There are 3 tee pads and 3 pins (not locations but pins in place) for almost if not all holes. Our family travels up there from all over the Midwest every fall to play the course.

    15:50 I nominate Hammes' roller for roller of the year! Going against Ricky's roller at the European Open.

    Getting "RolllRidged" should become a thing like "Getting DeLa'd", in Frisco.

      Umm, it's certainly something on your end. Likely something to do with your cellular provider or the not-so-great-WiFi you might have been on.
      I just double checked it and it comes up like most of my videos from the past few years which is 1080p 60fps.

    Missing the F9 in the title of this video - I started on the B9 because it only said 2019 Silver Cup - R1 - names. I think this is the first time I've seen this mistake though

    • @thediscgolfguy
      @thediscgolfguy  5 лет назад

      It was a spacing issue really. I opted to leave it with just R1 for both the front and back because we had a 5 some and I was trying to keep all the names in there. Sorry for the confusion.

      Rollin' Ridge just outside of Manitowoc, Wisconsin.
      Very tough private course with amazing amenities including multiple tees and 3 installed baskets on every hole!
      A must play.

      Because it follows the same basic formula as golf just with different equipment.

    If you want a nice fun round of golf, don't go here. If you want to play doubles or a scramble it can be fun.

    • @SJH22
      @SJH22 5 лет назад +3

      I've had fun every time I've been there and I suck compared to these guys. Plus, they have short tee pads too to make it more reasonable. It's nice to see the pros have to struggle a bit from time to time instead of shooting -14 every round. Pros should be able to hit tight lines , not throw a shot with 200 yard wide fairways.

    • @herpaderp8424

      @@SJH22 if one has never played this course, I can see how this video could skew their viewpoint. Black to black is an insane setup for average Joe's, but a great challenge for the pros. I'd take this course (red to reds preferably), Maple Hill, Smuggs, and Harmony Bends any day over Eureka, Utah Open course, or even Winthrop.
