Aww Rob Young...they were just wee boys. Imperial is still a fabulous song, timeless, the first truly great song that Primal Scream produced. A wee bit of nostalgia, thanks.

Who the hell are the other members of Primal Scream here?? I thought it was always Innes and Throb as the main band with Bobby.... even early on....

Throb is there on bass on the left, Innes joined not long after this in '87

Jim Beattie on lead guitar and Martin St. John on tambourine, Sonic Flower Groove line up.

Why is some random red head muppet slagging them off at the beginning?

He’s the head (Alan McGee) of the record label Creation Records who signed Primal Scream until the label’s demise in 2000.

Bobby Gillespie is a total fud. However, I liked Primal Scream better here than in their false Stones incarnation.

McGee hates capitalism; ok, give all your Creation Records money away. Gillespie thinks he's great, and pop bands are crap; but his band is lifeless and gets by on attitude ( I say that as someone who is very fond of 'Sonic Flower Groove', their debut album).

I'm not sure he said he hates Capitalism. He just hates tories, who didn't back then?

This version of the Scream is tame. Sounds like The Byrds or some lame 60’s band. They got MUCH better later on. Who’s the dude playing the tambourine?
