I have a 530 d xdrive which is 0-100 k in under 5.5 .Whilst it`s a heavier car,it`s 4 wheel drive,so I think that makes the difference,certainly no tyre squeal on take off.Also had a Merc 400d cls 4 matic 0-100k 4.8 with 340 bhp and 700 n/m torque,no tyre squeal,just grunt on take off.Am I right in assuming the 330 d is rear wheel drive?.
i think the car needs a bit wider tires, what size do you have? I got 225 tires and they spin to easy. Next time i wil try a wider one. My last car was an E350 CDI that also had a lot of torque. The summer tyre was a staggered setup with 265 on the rear. I could realy feel the difference switching from the narower winter tyres. The 265 could handle the torque much better
@@The_Carbon_Connection Interesting ,one would say 255 should be beafy enough to put the power down. A good premium brand tire is always an improvement
It sure can. Must be a software thing where the computer feels that is the optimal shift point. Could also be due to traction. I wasn't in manual mode.
Will definitely shift higher than 4500 in manual. I still need to do another 0-100 test with better launch tactics and new tyres. Hopefully I'll get down to it soon.
Bro I'm telling ya I think youv bought a 325d LOL I always get in the mid 5s even tho I'm on run flats and like half a tank, you have hardly any fuel bro and still struggling something's not right with that 215bhp 330d u claim LOL
Hi there! If there are no mistake in model of Your car i think it is something wrong with it... I have a 2015 F330d, on GPS 0 to 60 = 5.7 sec. (Try to get it with your lounch control). There are many of N57 single turbos films on YT - (3er, 5er etc.) in UK, Germany, Netherlands. There is no way that those cars comperred to other German cars are so low on power, your car should beat or draw in a race with any Golf GTi (200bhp+). You have my SUB, greets from Poland!
Hi. Thanks for the feedback and for subscribing! Definitely nothing wrong with the car but rather poor launches on my side and really bad tyres. Will try again soon!
Cool vid man! But for a better result you need to hold launch control 2-3 sec, I did that and had 5.4 sec!
Thanks bro! I still need to retest this with better tyres too. Will give that a try.
Did u warm up ur tyres first? My best is 6.3s stock using launch control. I can never hit the factory output
Yup warmed them up. I’m certain I can get better times with better tyres and some practice! Watch this space 😁

X Drive makes all the difference! Unfortunately we didn't get them here in SA. All rear wheel drive for the F series.
I have a similar struggle!
Diesel Torque, RWD and launch generally does not go well together
Will definitely figure out a better launch strategy. Thanks for watching!

Definitely a possibility. Currently running 255/35 at the rear.

I've put a set of Goodyear Eagle F1s on now. I'll retest soon 😁
Launch it for first time the other day, got a great launch, tried it twice after and just pure wheel spins lol, but mine is 300hp~
The launch control seems to be quite temperamental on these. Sometimes great sometimes terrible.
Great content
Thanks for watching bro
Did 5,5secs on mine. 330d 2013 100% stock.
Awesome. Please share link to as video if you have one. Using Draggy?
why does the car shift so early at 4500, can it not stretch to 5000-5500?
It sure can. Must be a software thing where the computer feels that is the optimal shift point. Could also be due to traction. I wasn't in manual mode.
@@The_Carbon_Connection could you do a test in manual ? doesnt have to be videoed but just curious. Or even in manual will it still shift at 4500?
Will definitely shift higher than 4500 in manual. I still need to do another 0-100 test with better launch tactics and new tyres. Hopefully I'll get down to it soon.
Hi. You could try launching in 2nd gear
Thanks man! A few people have told me this as well. I'll give that a try.
Traction is your biggest issue. You need perfect conditions, good tires and loads of runs to get the perfect run
Yup I agree. Very difficult to get everything to come together for a good run.
@@The_Carbon_Connection Pzero's are quite good_ talking from experience_
@@uklmngubane5661 ordered good years. Haven't tried P Zeros thus far. Are you also running them on a 330d?
Get use to launch, you will do better , I actually did 4.4 secs , but stage 2
That's insane! Did you use draggy as well?
You sure bmw times weren't done with a 1 foot roll out?
Pretty sure. I'll have to research.
What happened to the pop up banner 😜
Lol its there when I checked...
Maybe they sold you a 320d that's why they took the badge off
Maybe you should stop filling oil in your coolant tank?
@@The_Carbon_Connection lucky I didn't fill petrol in there
Hahah Femo you are a crack
😂😂
Launch in 2nd gear
Will try that. Thanks.

Mid 5s??? Hectic. Do you have draggy times to show us or are you using different timing equipment. We don't get a 325d here in SA lol.
