Món ăn ở đây rất hợp khẩu vị với vợ chồng tui, bánh xèo, bánh bèo, nậm lọc, bánh khọt… chân gà chua ngọt, tôm cua rang me, xôi chiên, thịt bò, heo, gà vịt, bún bò, sushi, chè đủ món… nhân viên phục vụ dễ thương và nhanh nhẹn. Ngồi ăn mà tui thấy quá nên thơ nhưng không biết làm thơ, thôi thì ghép chữ có chút vần: Tranh quê ai gắn lên tường Cho ai thương nhớ giọt bùi phù sa Bao năm vất vả đường xa Trong tim luôn nhớ quê hương mãi là… Mần mấy câu chữ xong đọc qua cũng gần giống thơ chứ không phải ba lơn, chưa kịp ngừng lại thì vợ mang tới món ngon mà tui mê, vì lúc ở Sài Gòn tui mần culi cho Nhật Bản nên ăn Hoài, đó là sushi… và tui lại ghép chữ tiếp 2 câu: Nâng niu hạt Ngọc đất trời Bao đời gieo gặt được mùa bội thu. Tui tìm hiểu thì chủ Kim Son Restaurant chia sẻ: “Mama La” is the secret ingredient behind each of our KIM SON Restaurants. Born in Vietnam, Kim Su Tran La, her husband and their seven children, arrived in Houston in 1980 after fleeing from Communist regime in their homeland. Armed with her extensive knowledge of Vietnamese cooking, which was passed down to her from her mother-in-law, Mama La managed to memorize over 250 recipes before opening the first KIM SON Restaurant. Her food quickly gained the following of thousands of fans along with the admiration and loyalty of many of Vietnam’s top restaurant cities. The original KIM SON was located in Vinh Long before it was eventually closed due to the communist takeover in Vietnam. Houston, Texas Đinh Thanh Hải
ya I really liked that aspect! I wasn't always like that as before you just grab it yourself, but after covid, it changed to them handing it to you which is nice =)
Looks like it was update. I am so hungry watching this. You seem to be a Vietnamese food noob. Go for the stuff that is hard to make. 8:20 shrimp is the tiny ground up orange things. There is not enough shrimp. "white" paste is really yellow and it is mung bean. 18:05 The 2 meats there are supposed to be eaten with lettuce, bean sprouts, cucumber, noodles and fish sauce. it needs to be put into one plate so you know. 20:40 soup is ok, but not enough flavor or meat. Mac and cheese is fool's gold at a buffet. Banh mi also not to be eaten at buffet. Both can be had better somewhere else and cheaper too.
I do agree I talk too much, but thats mainly because this entire video is just focusing on one restaurant. BTW, this isn't a street food video as it is a restaurant review which is typically different in style. Compared to many other restaurant reviews, I actually talk way less then they do. As for research, well it's a buffet so i'm not sure how I am going to know what foods they serve as I am going into this place blind. Tho, I will tell you that in a few months I will be moving to Asia and start doing "Actual" street food videos for people to see. Those videos will be a entirely different style than what I'm currently doing and will be similar to like Mark Wiens, Food Ranger, and that dumpling guy. So maybe come back in a few months and see =) you might like it here.
@@Nishinos Don’t listen to him, i don’t think anyone says please. It is not rude and the fact that your saying thank you every time they give it to you is already good enough
Great video!!! I need to go to a Viet buffet asap! You’re killing it. Would love another Costco haul video too! 🥰
haha viet buffets are amazing =). And good idea! I will do another Costco haul soon, but just figuring out what items I want to try this time haha
Lol The Last one I went it was amazing, are you Vietnamese?
That mashed potato thing is more than likely mung bean. It’s usually mashed up. The item is called bahn beo.
i wish they had this in Northern Virginia. looks amazing.
haha hopefully one day there will be one =)
Wow dude you keep ruining my diet, lol, will have to try tho, gracias...
haha hope you enjoy =) Thanks for watching!

just noticed, … i like that they serve it so you dont have to touch all the germy serving spoons. good idea.
ya I really liked that aspect! I wasn't always like that as before you just grab it yourself, but after covid, it changed to them handing it to you which is nice =)
co19, its new now, most of them will have to be force to serve like that from now on.
Cool!
That mashed potatoes I think may be daikon:)
ooo good point! You may be right haha
do you know why they have to serve you the food? is it coz of covid?
Safety measures. Prob mostly due to Covid as it use to be self serve.
I didnt see you eat any veggies, lol, the first batch you got is no good for me, i like the 2 batch that you got.
haha so many foods I just forgot xD I'll def try the veggies out next time =)
Noiiice
haha thanks =)
Where in Texas?
In Houston!
How expensive is this?
$17.50 for lunch and $27.50 for dinner =) hope that helps!
😋😋😋👌👌👌
I don't think I would enjoy a buffet when you have to ask for everything but dessert. Just leave it out and let me select the portion I desire.
haha ya its definitely not for everyone xD
This changed, was almost all self serve except for soups before C19.

What item should I go for? I don't know what item is hard to make here lmao
Are you Vietnamese
half vietnamese half chinese
Are u asking him that because he seems like he has no idea about what he is eating? Lol.
Why u speak too fast ??
I do? I'll try to slow down next time =)
From someone who has watched 1000s of hours of Street Food videos....
You talk too much and you do little research on the food you are reviewing.
I do agree I talk too much, but thats mainly because this entire video is just focusing on one restaurant. Dang man why so rude to the staff serving you? I don’t think you even said please once when asking for them to serve you food.😔
lol how is that rude? I even said thank you after every time they handed me the food. You don't have to say please all the time.
