hey it is super cool but how to make embers ? to make it more realistic
great help
I have the flame tool.. but i cannot select it.. Why is that?
+StacheGraphics Hey there! You can try going into "Preferences" in Photoshop where all the application settings are located. Go down to "Performance" and make sure "Use Graphics Processor" is selected. Next, select "Advanced Settings..." and try turning some of these settings on (specifically "Use OpenCL"). Restart Photoshop and see if this enables to Flame tool. Hope this helps :)
The "Use OpenCL" is also gray.. I tried to click the box it won't let me :/
+StacheGraphics Are you on a laptop by any chance? Do you know what graphics card your computer has?
Dansky Yea I am on a laptop.. and i have intel graphics (built in)
ik this is way later but for future reference I think you can fix your issue by making sure that it is in CMYK color mode
thank you very much for this video, it was just what i was looking for :)
EPICO!!
Love 2 watching Dansky
Hey Dansky, I'm sorry I hadn't read your answer to StacheGraphics, but now I'm ok, thanks anyway! ; D

Hey Dansky, I've seen this incredible video, but I can't do it! I always do exactly what you do, I've checked everything lots of times, but "Flames" (under "Rendering" menu) is unclickable for me! Do you have any tip for me, please?
Create a new document in 'RGB' colour mode, does this enable the option?
No another way ?
You may need to be in 8bit

52 seconds into this tutorial and I am stumped. When I click on the pencil icon there is no 'Path' option at top left of screen as shown on the tutorial, how do I get this, help required please. I am using the latest version of Photoshop CC.
Hey Marella, select the Pen Tool instead of the Pencil Tool :)
Thanks for the advice my friend, it worked a treat, excellent tutorial.
Super, glad to hear it helped - thanks Marella 😀
Do you know how to do with corel Paintshop Pro?
Flame options is grayed out :(

After creating this flame there's a problem creating a new project. The new project comes in with the flame and the black background. This happens on a blank or a photo. It's like I can't get rid of it. Any suggestions?
Oop! 30secs in and my progress is dead in the water--no flame tool 😂 Thanks anyway though but I must continue on my search for flames...
Oh no, sorry to hear that!
