I like Soren because he does have some synergy with Alsa, and I really like him in the story, but being A rank I'm just gonna wait to slot him into my A rank wish list. Saving those rank up tickets if they ever decide to add Mikola to the game.
I do agree that Rogue seemed a weird choice. But the bigger issue I have is that players and content creators are complaining about him but all of them, especially content creators, have all encouraged people to focus all their energy on heroes that do not have synergy with him. And I don't necessarily blame them; the game is slanted heavily towards needing to stay on top in Dream Realm so you're going to build super specific stuff and none of that is going to have synergy with Soren.
Soren, Shakir, atandra makes for a strong and durable front line fully benefitting from Shakirs buffs. Adding a rowan and alsa or atalanta (yes she's good with him on the team) helps a ton in letting that core shine in pvp.
Atalanta is absolutely slept on this season. The mirage cast on her is bonkers. But everyone is suffering from the limited resources the game gives you and it is basically mandatory that you focus strictly on what can keep you on top in Dream Realm. That gives the playerbase, especially the F2P crowd, zero ability to safely invest in ANY new hero.
Definitely a meh, I just wish he was a warrior than a rogue. And wish his range was at least 2. His haste and life drain is wasted when he gets trap on alsa wall or any wall. And gets picked by a range class
People need to realize that they've been encouraged to build heroes that almost exclusively have zero synergy with this guy. This isn't a fault of the hero. Everyone is suffering from the limited resources the game gives you and it is basically mandatory that you focus strictly on what can keep you on top in Dream Realm. That gives the playerbase, especially the F2P crowd, zero ability to safely invest in ANY new hero; let alone use them to their full potential in a team comp that supports synergy.
I feel like every character in this game where lot of leveling up is done with dupes feels meh. Eveyrone is meh unless you get them to mythic plus. And thats really a problem to not get excited on a new chars in a game like this. I just pull standard banner everyday with everything and I feel its the most optimal play. Those premium chars are coming to wishlist suprsingly quick.

Not going to lie... as someone with an S+ +10 Alsa, arden's roots are better than soren's knock back. So it feels like Soren's BiS will be Alsa but Alsa's BiS won't include Soren.
