This is great info. I run a Fire Dept and we are paet of the Alaska Land Mobile Radio System. Currently we have APX400 radios and I am currently looking into adding zones. We have a repeater but its conventional. We have 15 of 16 channels programmed. This gave me a lot to insight, thank you.
I learned c++ during my College days. I've been a computer user/programmer since 1989. I earned my BCIS degree 1997. I've been moving into security systems and am looking at being able to send photos over our system. My dept is a volunteer unit. I've been cross trained in various areas of inter-departmental disciplines. I'm registered with FEMA, Alaska Homeland Security, the state of Alaska, Alaska Forestry and The Municipality of Kenai. My daily carry radio has all the above Agencies frequencies. I'm just now getting into Sdr. I manage two repeaters Fire/Ak State Troopers. The trooper repeater is offline and is only used for the Alaska LMRS.
