To be completely honest with you I do not know. I have never ever measured the mil thickness on stucco or any other surfaces I have painted before. I can tell you one thing the way we applied the elastomeric paint it's really freakin thick it will hold up for 30 years easily.
Well if you have stucco or brick 🧱 elastomeric will be a excellent product to use. If you have sideing or if you have a historic 🪵 WOOD home I would go with a different product. It just really depends what the exterior of your 🏠 house is.
How do you estimate how much to charge for an exterior paint job like this? What type of paint do you find works best for exterior stucco? Did you just pressure wash and then recoat or did you use a primer? Thx fellas nice work.
Hello well to answer your question's yes we always do pressure wash before we do any exterior's. We did not use any type of primer on this project. All the colors went exactly the same so we gave it one good heavy coat of exterior behr elastomeric paint. For exterior stucco elastomeric paint always works best. You can also use an exterior masonry paint, for stucco.
@@jamiemorales2022 Well one thing I can tell you is prices have definitely gone up the labor & materials cost. Prices 💰 🤑 💸 $ very depends on what city & state you are in. California & New York are all very different in price then Texas which is the State I live in.
Well for cracks on stucco I like to use a exterior elastomeric caulking, if you only have a lot of hairline cracks on your stucco, if you get a good product of exterior elastomeric paint and if you apply it heavy and b back roll it it will take care of all them hairline cracks, you really want to apply the caulking on the larger cracks you also have to make sure never to dilute the paint with water or anything else.

How is the Stucco going to breathe after you coat it with paint? Stucco is a cement and sand mortar matrix. It absorbs moisture then sheds moisture through evaporation and gravity. The membrane behind the wall keeps moisture out of the house . So you have just loaded the stucco with moisture and trapped it under the paint layer. How does the moisture get out? Especially using elastomeric wich does not breathe at all. Well the color was going pretty similar to what it was previously. Very nice just subscribed to your channel.!! I have a question how long does it take for the paint to cure and also what brand name paint would recommend??
Well it all depends what you are painting. Exterior stucco elastomeric paint usually will take 24 hrs to dry with the right temperature, never paint a exterior of a house if it's very windy or if it's cold. I really like the home Depot Behr paint are excellent products. That guy painting the house with the roller better wear mask to protect his health otherwise 5 years from now his lung show sign of inhale problem plus his blood had all the chemical.
I provide 😷 mask for all my employees. Some of them decide not to wear them I cannot force them to wear them at the end of the day it's their choice. It's kinda like the covid-19 situation not every single person in the city you are from are always wearing a 😷 to protect themselves from this outbreak.
If I had a dude show up on my crew wearing street clothes or some blue jeans they're getting sent home on the spot.. and The Rocks should have been moved back to spray the foundation... don't know why that wasn't done...home depot painters forsure....all your tools are from home depot...Wooster brushes come on
Well home depot paint 🎨 products & Wooster paint brushes works well for us there only a lil cheaper then Purdy brushes which I know they are the best. Ok as far as Moving the rocks and painting the foundation We have done that before but we are in Texas don't know where you're at that is not done too often over here and again it's all up to the homeowner what he or she wants to do and they did not want the foundation painted on this particular project. As far as dress code is concerned as a painter yes we should be wearing white the majority of the time. Which I myself do not do all the time neither does my crew which I am fine with. It is really hard to find great help these days and people to show up on time and show up everyday and work. So this is why I myself will not send any one of my employees home if they show up in blue jeans or shorts or whatever. Of course I would not allow any my employees to wear any nudity shirts or any other inappropriate clothing they will get sent home for that for sure. Other than that you're free to wear whatever they want.
If you didn't charge at least $8,700 for this paint job...you are leaving your crew hungry and money on the table here...no unemployment benefits? guys go union in the long run

Yes it is a really excellent paint sprayer it can push 2 guns. It's a titan 1040 airless electric 💡⚡ paint sprayer.
I just have a little part at the bottom of a outside pillar to paint, can i just use a roller?
Yes you can.
@@texasqualitypainting any specific kinda paint i need to use??
@@GoTips I my self like to use exterior elastomeric Behr premium paint for any stucco brick 🧱 or masonry. You can also use that Sherlastic elastomeric coating from Sherwin Williams paint store.
@@texasqualitypainting cool man ty, does lowes have it?
I have the same issue. What roller do you recommend? Thank you

nice vid!
Thanks.
Good. Work what do you guys charge for a job like this here in Washington state we charge two dollars a foot
Hello yes we'll each job is charged differently depending on the amount of trim stucco facia soffit sideing & stucco work. It goes around $2.00$ to $3.00$ bucks a SQFT pretty basic ball park figure.
thank you
Hi how are you? Idk exactly 🤷♂️ what you are thanking me for I am guessing for the video 📹. You're welcome 😊 🙏
this is firme homie
Gracias bro god bless you.
1 coat or 2? Any primer?
Well the color was going pretty similar to what it was previously. No primer on the particular project unless you are completely changing the color from like dark to light I would recommend a masonry primer coat or you could also do two coat's of elastomeric 🎨🖌️ paint. As you can tell on the video we did one good really heavy coat you are never supposed to dilute the paint at all do not add any water or anything else.
How many gallons did you use on that job
He ended up buying four 5 gallon buckets total and stayed with a little less than half for touch up .

What kind of paint are u using
Hi we are using exterior Elastomeric Behr paint from Home Depot.
What brand trim paint is that? And color thank you
Very nice just subscribed to your channel.!!
On that house we used Behr exterior elastomeric paint Google that material yourself it all has 5 🌟 ratings and they also have a lifetime warranty on that particular product. No other paint product that I know of Sherwin-Williams PPG paint Lowe's paint Benjamin Moore paint do not offer that at such a great price $$$
@@texasqualitypainting Thank you I will.
Two people painting and they missed. a spot at the bottom -- I hope they went back and finished the area,
As the owner of my business I am at the jobsite every single day with my crew working I always make sure everything gets done correctly & nothing never gets missed. Look at the end of the video 📹 I do final walk through of the project you will see we did not leave nothing unpainted.
Get those bois some respirators and appropriate cartridges for them
I buy all my employees respiratory some choose 👎 not to wear them so I will not force no one to wear one if they choose not to.
Back roller should have a mask 😷
Agreed 👍 they don't listen to me thou. Can't force no 1 to do anything they do not want to do.
I thought stucco not supposed to be painted cuz concrete needs to breathe
Hello that whole stucco not be able to breathe is malarkey. All stucco uses either sto stucco which has the color in it & they applied with a tral or elastomeric paint.
@TEJAS QUALITY PAINTING Thank you for that info. Man I was getting worried because its an older house and I was worried it would cost a kidney to have it repainted. I appreciate your knowledge

@@MQT- Anytime 👍 have a blessed evening.
Hi, the spray paint machine, is it electric or compressor. Beautiful job, if your company were in Winnemucca NV I would definitely hire & recommend.
Who needs ppe 😂
Don't know what you mean by that??
That guy painting the house with the roller better wear mask to protect his health otherwise 5 years from now his lung show sign of inhale problem plus his blood had all the chemical.
I provide 😷 mask for all my employees. Some of them decide not to wear them I cannot force them to wear them at the end of the day it's their choice. It's kinda like the covid-19 situation not every single person in the city you are from are always wearing a 😷 to protect themselves from this outbreak.

He unaware of will you kindly tell him
If I had a dude show up on my crew wearing street clothes or some blue jeans they're getting sent home on the spot.. and The Rocks should have been moved back to spray the foundation... don't know why that wasn't done...home depot painters forsure....all your tools are from home depot...Wooster brushes come on
Hacks
@@nothingsimpostleble1593 what kinda hacks you talking about?
Bro really
Dude you funny 🤣 I got about a hundred more videos I am going to upload so you can put your opinion on it.
Bam! $6500 please!
👍 Okay I can do your house 🏠 for that price $ 😀
If you didn't charge at least $8,700 for this paint job...you are leaving your crew hungry and money on the table here...no unemployment benefits? guys go union in the long run
You are in the right ballpark $$ of how much 💰 🤑 💸 💲 I charged for this project. Prices on materials labor gas ⛽️ insurance on my business & my work vehicle not to mention haveing to pay taxes
have definitely all gone up. All that said I'll leave it up to you to guess on how much profit I actually maid on this project.
Union to paint residential houses?
$8,700? Lmfknao Hahaha! GTFOH with that nonsense! It's painting a house NOT building an addition to the house! Your Ridiculous
The other guy should also be wearing a mask those fumes are harmful!!😧
Hello thanks for your concern. I provide masks 😷 for all my employees I always recommend they wear them if they choose not to wear them I have no control in that.
Uhh, no. Painting exteriors like this result in no issue with fumes, especially water based paints. It's the particulates that cause the need for masks.
Way to much paint on dude
Well this is how we paint in Texas we do not dry roll over here buddy, even when we are spraying we apply plenty of paint we do not want to leave no holidays or dryroll marks.

good job guys nice 💪🏿👍
Thank you.
Cholo talk
Simon que si ese vato loco 4 ever homes 😆
Lucky you have a back roller because the guy spraying is obviously inexperienced
You are entitled to your opinion. I think he did just enough and he applied it perfectly. I don't know where you are from? Every single painter from different cities and states always use a different technique. All I know is I've been doing this since 1997 and I know what exactly works for me and my company.
This the worst painting ever .had to be texas .the hole floor over sprayed . That’s fact
You are 100% pct wrong there George! You obviously didn't 👀 look closely everything was prepared correctly there was absolutely no overspray on the foundation or concrete floors get your facts straight buddy!
@@texasqualitypainting and all the rocks all over sprayed .
@@Gmoon917 I'm going to buy you some glasses 👓 so you can see 👀 better GEEEEEEEEZ LEWIEEEEEEEEZ GEORGIE 😎 there was no overspray.
Holy shit have you ever heard of prep?
We did prep, we power washed the home applied exterior caulking & wood putty to any cracks gaps and nail holes. We use a special kind of exterior stucco caulking for the stucco hair line cracks. We also use exterior Behr elastomeric paint for the stucco. So i don't know what you are talking about about my friend.
