- Welcome back to a new episode! We continue our journey in Norway as we sail south, getting closer to Sweden. But what looked like a great day for sailing turned into something else..
After months of really stressful sailing, with weather going back and forth all the time - this really tests our patience. And as Marcus says, we don't cope with this as well as we used to...
Cruising really is ups and downs, just like anything else in life - and if we were just to catch the really good stuff on camera we wouldn't be very true to the lifestyle we have chosen. So here we are, showing the not so good days!
Hope you enjoy this side too!
Fair winds,
Emmy & Marcus
______
We are Emmy and Marcus, a Swedish couple who has decided to leave our home and set sail out into the world with our boat Linnea. After a season in the Caribbean, we decided to leave Linnea in Trinidad and fly back to Sweden for the hurricane season. This allowed us to get an extra year of sailing and reach even more beautiful destinations for our second season of cruising. For now the goal is Greenland and back home to Sweden, via the Caribbean, BVIs, Bahamas, US east coast, and Canada. But who really knows how far our dreams might take us?
Welcome aboard our floating home Linnea to join us on our adventures!

You do a great job on your videos, and we are always cheering you on! Love your format, and love the drone shots! Mad respect for you both.
Thank you so much! So very nice of you to take the time to write this to us 😃
Nice to see 'Norasundet' outside Egersund again! I spent countless hours there in my youth in small boats - also went to Gyarhamn a lot👍
Oh that much have been really nice waters to sail smaller boats in! Always flat and protected seas :D Hope we will come back one day!
10:01 Such a beautiful natural harbour at Gyarhavn, with the massive steep rock and forest to the water's edge. Thanks for writing the location on a subtitle, so I can find it on Google maps.
It was so cool! To believe we almost missed it if we had just sailed passed as planned.. That would have been too sad! Glad you enjoyed the location banner, and thanks for pointing it out 😀 It's always helpful to get comments like this to know what we are doing right!
That was a beautiful anchorage. Where is it? Have a lat/lon?
Do you mean the natural harbour? Then it's called Gyarhavn and since I happen to have the captains log just next to me the LAT LONG are: 58° 27.9 N, 05° 53.1 E 😃
"brrrrrrr" - Exactly why I'm going electric! How many hours / nautical miles do you figure you motored on this part?
With a good range electric would be so nice for the ears 😁 According to the captains log we did about 25-30 nm for motor on that day.. Would probably not have chosen to go on that day if we had known it would be that much 🤪
