How much will it cost?
$170, releases October 1st with 2064 pieces.
Pinned in 4 minutes, this must be some record
They should have had 2401 pieces for the fans
Why did you pin this when you answered it at 2:04
everything.
Ngl I fell in love with the set as soon as I saw it. I understand the complaints that it looks tacky or that a minifig-scale Peach's Castle would've been better... I love it. It feels really unique for a microbuild, reminds me of old Polly Pocket sets which are always super satisfying to see.
Exactly!! I fell in love with it straight away too.
Holy crap, I didn’t even think of Polly Pocket! Good point.
Same dude, it’s a day one buy for me.
Yes I love this set too
i was sold by the lego ? block before it even unfolded
I hope this set features the Bowser Room
It was Miyamoto's favourite level of Super Mario 64 after all
I think it’s the compartment we don’t know yet.
Epic Bowser Room
Bowser room 😳
Miyamoto said the set couldnt come out without it!
What if the secret room has mini figures in it
I love how the block opens , i wish that they added eyes 👀 on mini Mario!
I really hoped we got mini figure scaled Super Mario 64 LEGO sets, it would have been so sick! Well just gotta be patient 👊
Fingers crossed we will get them some day still think this a great set
The fact it actually has 2064 pieces is quite impressive
Didn’t notice that
It would've been better if it was 2048 because its a multiple of 64... But that's probably too mathematical for people to get easily.
@@Zictor okay
@@Zictor yeah but it's themed from mario 64 so it makes more sense to be 2064
I think it would've been interesting if there was 2401 pieces
LEGO Mario: “Wahoo!”
Microfigure Mario: “waho”
Translate to English
I feel like the block is meant to be a template for later vignette-style builds - we could see this stuff for Sunshine, Galaxy 1/2, and Oddyssey. That would be quite a unique way to present them.
please god no
just give us individual sets of these levels
make them insanely expensive if you need to, I'll pay
please Rodin Claus
I hope that if that is the case they don't come with the ? box, just the little levels and the pieces to integrate them into the main box (BTW I have no intent of buying these, I just hope that this is what they do)
Maybe if 2032 rolls around, the Super Mario Sunshine one will drop.
OMG I NEVER THOUGHT OF THAT
@@occamsaturn why not?
I think the big question block looks like it would be a nice display piece on its own, but all of the microscale stuff is kind of an eyesore in my opinion.
And at that point, you're better off just buying a Mario Question block display toy
Yeah, it should've been the 3 power ups instead.
The eyesore is the question block never appearing in Super Mario 64.
@@hammerbro4782 Good point! That's actually kinda hilarious.
Honestly I’ll keep it as just the question block closed because of this
I’m currently playing 64 as part of All Stars on the switch rn, and HOLY SHIT THEY NAILED SO MANY DETAILS! I love all the little details!
You're totally right, it's time for the real minifigures. We've messed around enough already ! XD
Lolol
why y'all want some minifigures while you have a litteral robot
@@Starlight_235 because it looks awful ? And minifigures surely will look better
This looks adorable and funny and I hope it does well enough that actual Minifigures get made soon.
We already have 3 series of the Mario mystery bags so there is quite a good possibility we will at some point in the future.
@@owenfautley I'm hopeful
Maybe a cmf
@@jaxonthompson1643 I think that'd be a perfect start
As a person living in a studio apartment with other people I appreciate I can hide my LEGO sets in a block (not ashamed of them or anything but there’s no space for cool sets like the Falcon or something like that)
True, it's so practical for storage (also no more dust!)
0:54 That low-key looks like the old penguin bombers from LEGO Batman: The Videogame but in blue
lol
Im dissapointed that every mario set has to have a gimmick, I just wanted some mario 64 courses to display not this big mistery block with something on the top
you want an entire Mario 64 course in lego? How the hell is possible to do such a thing exactly?
Since LEGO does seem to want to put Mario figures in sets I think a CMF would be a great alternative. They could even just do one for Nintendo as a whole. Mario, Link, Samus, etc. I think it would be great and it would be an awesome way to get really detailed Nintendo figures.
or a smash bros set
It looks so cool
yes, I am surprised how clean it is
I absolutely love this. I much prefer this to a potential minifig scale Peach's Castle, for a few reasons:
1) We get more level dioramas!!! Bob-omb Battlefield looks so faithful to the original, and Cool Cool Mountain and Lethal Lava Land are excellent additions that look incredible.
2) The box is glorious. It's an amazing display piece on its own, and I LOVE how clean the transition is between folding in and out the little dioramas.
3) References to the game. Yoshi on the roof, King Bob-omb, Mr I, castle paintings, the baby penguin, (so you can re-enact the cliff drop from the original lmao) and all the other little easter eggs give this set so much charm.
4) There's a secret compartment that's been teased. I hope it's the bowser fight, that would be so cool.
Overall I am definitely getting this set. It's a Mario 64 fan's dream :D
I’m really glad you love it!
@@just2good Thank you :)
Hopefully we get minifigures in the next set, as long as they have molded heads they'll look awesome
I never knew I wanted a Mario Moustache Brick until now! 🤩
I both hate and like this at the same time
I feel like next time we'll get the minifigs, the minecraft comparison was perfect. We had to wait a while until we got minifig scale minecraft sets
You are absolutely right. I played this as a child like crazy so i may be a little teary eyed at nearly 30 :,)
This actually does disappoint me the “micro figures” are lacklustre and the fact they went with this mystery block gimmick limits the set to have 4 micro scale levels ruining its potential, a large microscale of peaches castle similar to the recent Disney castle would’ve been way better with either actual micro figures or even just 1 Mario minifigure.
I understand disliking it but lackluster is not a word to describe the build
Too be honest with now that think of it seeing how theses microfigures came out I don't think some of the characters from Mario would translate well over to minifigure form imagine how Bowser or the Gooba's would look it would be hard to translate them over.
I'm still hopeful of course Lego is known for it creativity and i'm sure they would find a way to make it work.
@@jorgenvonstrangle4725 I think Lego Mario minifigures would look their best if they had special moulded heads with minifigure bodies like with Disney and Looney Tunes, and possibly for Bowser use the new big fig mould and have a shell build or mould attached to the back studs
@@winter12 Yes having moulded heads would be the way the go with Mario Mini figures. They would maybe make a special body for bowser but what about some of the enemies such as goobas I'd be concerned about they would turn out.
Nice touch with the desert theme from Mario 64
I'm happy that i could recreate the memorable "So long gay Bowser!" scene with this set. Then again, Mario characters have very particular proportions. Making minifigures of them while keeping their iconic appearence isn't easy
Looks great with the LEGO Mario Question Mark Block set, but I thought it was going to be a Minifigure scale of Princess Peach’s Castle.
We all want a minifigure-scale Princess Peach’s Castle but it seems impossible for them to do for some odd reason 🙄
That was a suprise
The set is good in all but I wish just2good stopped complaining about the sets not having minifigs, it is just the new way of how they're gonna do lego sets, no big deal
This actually good, and you guys don’t see how good it is.
Even tho there wasn't a qwestion bloche in SM64. I still really like this set.
Best Lego set I ever saw
in my honest opinion, i think they did pretty good with the microfigures, keep in mind that if they put minifigures instead of microfigures, the size would be less accurate
I'd like this in a Disney theme. The box could be in a wooden finish and maybe have a music element.
Even with lego Nintendo doesn't fail to disappoint.
😩
I don't care much about the Super Mario games, but I love that garden gnome Mario.
I 100% agree with you. On everything.
I'm 90% sure that the lower compartment has hidden minifigures
As a sucker for microbuilds and architecture sets I love this set
😄
Your probably right about the bowser fight because look on the box
?
I think it’s a great set in my opinion
It's pretty ok I might add it on my Collection.
I like it a lot tbh. I think the microscale stuff is pretty cute, even if I'd display it closed.
The new winter village set has been revealed, it’s definitely one of my favorites
I like this but I do kind of wish they did like a question mark block one based off super Mario Bros and then one like this with the wing cap
I would love to see a Full-Scale version of Princess Peach’s Castle from Super Mario 64 DS or Super Smash Bros. Melee or even Super Mario Odyssey in the future! 🍄 🌺 💫
👨🏻🦱🍝👸🏼
I've got questions for this question block...
What is it hiding…
lol
@@crazymoosee A smaller question mark block.
I like it, it’s kinda like the older games that don’t have many good graphics
I like it a lot honestly
I think this set would have been received a lot better if a Mario minifig or minifig scale castle existed.
I’m so gonna get this set!!
I’ll get it day one too
I think at this point it may be down to a marketing thing, since if LEGO were to make minifigure-scale Mario characters, it could negatively impact the sales of the Mario "bigfig" and the play courses.
The set looks cool; I get why the SM64 block should ideally have been what they went for, but realistically I think it was the right choice to go with the iconic ? block, as it's way more immediately identifiable as being from Mario than the ! block.
Music is right on! I'm definitely getting this set and will make a video of it. Tons of nostalgia 😌
With the release of lego luigi, I think we are gonna get 1 or 2 more waves, the last one of them finally giving us princess peach. Weather or not we get minifig scale after that... knowing Nintendo, probably not, but knowing LEGO, probably yes.
I just hate when sometimes when something gets launched and ppl love it but some don’t idk why? It’s so cute imma buy it I love the style
It reminds me of Minecraft micro world
Personally, I love this set and will be picking it up on day one. I think it is adorable! I love the way it opens up to display the different courses, and I’m intrigued by the “secret” panel in the front. Can’t wait for this!
Kelly, I’m glad you love it!
Gonna give them some credit - it looks even worse than I imagined yesterday :D
LMAO
OMG I DINT SAW THE COMMERCIAL *RUNS to a lego shop
1:02 if they were going to change any part of the name you’d think it’d be the “lethal”
This set reminds me of the micro Minecraft sets that i never got....
I'll probably never be able to get this micro masterpiece..
OK I kinda love this
looks awesome!
OMG i badly want this! I think it is perfect lego set! I shall buy it! I might be able to bring it on a vacation, too!
to be fair, this set uses the new super Mario bros. question block design and the game (new super Mario bros.) was released in 2006 and it hit 15 years old in the 15th may and Nintendo probably didn't have enough time to celebrate it's 15th anniversary (or they just didn't care) so in in regards that's probably why this set uses the NSMB question block design.
Eh I think they chose this design because when you see it you instantly think Mario, while the 64 design is pretty obscure (and ugly)
Yayy….. I guess, this is totally what everybody wanted and nothing else.
Let's be honest, people are only going to remember a yellow question mark block from the Mario games. A fair and honest take similar to a certain other D2C set. Only difference here is, the fanbase can be reasonable about it.
Personally, I love it, if I wasn’t poor I’d totally get it!
Reminds me of the original Minecraft sets before the minifigures
I remember seeing that new green technic pin in the camper van set and knowing exactly why they made it in that color
😎
I will ask for this for Christmas
You got some of the info wrong. You don’t SAVE the baby penguin, you YEET the baby penguin off the edge of the level.
honestly these people just don't think. This is why I think I was born in the wrong gen. I mean, whats so hard to understand thats the baby is annoying? why do you think it whines when you pick it up? its because it knows you are gonna kill it but no, you chose to save it >:(
This is the first actually good lego Mario set in my opinion. The normal lego mario looks kinda creepy
I think Nintendo Googled what the most popular Mario 64 levels were and saw the ice one, but didn't realize why people like it. Also,, does anybody remember star wars micro machines? This reminds me of that death/tatooine one
would been nicer if it opened fully and not just part of front and top. Would given designers alot more space to give us more options to play
Honestly wish Lego would just have something like a Super Smash Bros minifigure series. I think it could sell very well.
I looks really cool. I can't wait to get it!
Would be cool if they made each of the courses minifigure scale and then have them connect to Princess Peaches Castle.
This is going to be awesome i don’t really like the Mario tho but it’s definitely a must buy
😄
@@just2good 😊
I want it for christmas
@@Rekusasu827 I do too it’s a great display peace
¿COMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO?
I think if they were to release mario minifigures they would look a lot like the one like your CMF series, but with this set and the NES there is at least a little play feature with Lego Mario.
That ? Block is one of the most impressive builds I have seen. I don’t really mind the scaled down mario characters it just looks charming in general
Glad you love it!
I honestly want this. The only problem is I cant afford it and I dont have space. But overall it looks great. But LEGO really needs to make mario minifigure sets.
feel your pain buddy, its ok though, you will get it someday
The secret pocket at the bottom probably IS the bowser room because there is no bowser in the set pictures and bowser is nearly as popular as mario himself
I’m a little confused why they just made a giant cube even thought it pops open, but it honestly looks like a really cool display piece
On the back of the box the picture with the measurements has the bottom compartment open, and it looks pretty much like the platform with bowser on it, so it probably is.
I need this, I gotta say, I’m in love
Alot of stuff is coming a day before my birthday
🤭
I want this set!!
We Should All Complain to Leto customers service to have them make it! And post it in there Fourms!!!! Let’s make Happen Lego community!!!
Justin, you’re absolutely right. We need minifigures and if LEGO doesn’t supply me with them imma pull out my Rex dangervest gun ship thingy
They are just waiting for minifig stuff for a Movie tie in so sets will sold like hotcakes even if they will be bad.
Like Like button5
I love look of this set!
This is adorable...
I didn't even notice that there was Lethal Lava Land in the center, and the fact they added not only the bully, but the moving bridge, volcano, and bowser puzzle is fucking brilliant, idc that it costs $170, I'm buying this asap
boo's house would be so cool in lego form
I thought Lethal Lava Land was Boo’s House for a bit in the leaks lol
This set is definitely really awesome !
NO HAHA BAD SET LOL IM SAVAGE LEGO BAD HAHA
I’m not gonna get it. Much rather would like a peach starter course for the existing system and indeed minifigs
I think we’ll get a Peach starter next summer.
It doesn’t make much sense for a peach starter system
I’m hyped to watch a review of this set
Will do one the moment I finish building it!
This actually looks cool!!!
At least we can't say there's no Lego Princess Peach anymore!
...even though this Lego Peach is two bricks tall and has no face...
Not going to lie but I kinda DO want this
I didn’t see the Mario 64 in the title for the original video and when I heard the bomb omb battle field music I was like “wow out dated Mario music” and then I saw them open the question block
Maybe the front surprise will fold out and have 3 mini figs Mario Luigi and peach on a stand we can at least hope
