I remember my niece once said to me after watching Thomas in Trouble "Uncle, why would that policeman be so horrible to Thomas?", and I remember answering to her "Because that policeman was vindictive and spiteful. He simply wanted to get back at Thomas for disturbing him, and saw his chance to do so with seeing no cowcatcher and side plates present on him. There are policemen that can be like that." And I also remember finding out about how those laws the policeman charged Thomas are actually real, but it's laws that has never really been enforced since the very early 1900s (or so I heard and read). Which is why I believe the old policeman Thomas was friends with knew of that, and never charged him with it.
That policeman really sounded like he wanted Thomas in trouble.
yes put the cuffs on him
“Thomas liked policemen”
I don’t think that’s true anymore.

Even though he didn't make the law, that policeman is such a prick to Thomas!
He’s just doing his job. But, he was a prick.

Michael Brandon puts more detail in seasons 7-11’s episodes too like Johnny Morris.
*OI YOU!!!*
Idk about anyone else, but I think this is Johnny Morris's best narration.
Yep. Some police officers are not very friendly at all.

Thomas sounds like Herbert from Family Guy.
Don't talk to the police Thomas, it's their job to arrest you
Thomas is a steam engine, he can't be arrested.
@@islesofforeignrails7917 he could be impounded though lol
@@savagetv6460+ cars get the impound, while engines are shunted in a yard.
@@islesofforeignrails7917 point is getting shunted or impounded is basically the vehicle equivalent of being arrested

Thomas Breaks the Rules
2:36 Judging by his laugh, The Policeman's full name must be Constable Edward Elizabeth Hitler.
Is "Elizabeth" his maiden name or something?
Sir Topham Hatt gave Thomas that branch line
That policeman didn't look friendly at all. He was red in the face and very cross.
