After Each use of mopping make sure to rinse your mop bucket and then fill fresh hot/warm water and a lil bit of clearning soultion and dip the mop over and and over till mop doesnt hold the dirty look/ smell and then hang the mop to dry until the next use, and rinse your mop bucket out so it doesn't hold the bacteria/germs of the last weeks mop.
I don't have a removable mop head, just one that twists & rings out. So I fill my clean mop bucket that I wash out with dish soap with laundry detergent/hot water & agitate the mop head for a good 5 or so minutes. Then I rinse everything in my tub & fill a solution with more hot water & vinegar to rinse the detergent away. My mop head looks white & clean
I disinfect my my mop heads with eucalyptus or tea tree water soluble solution in a tub of hot water after every use then hang to try. I don’t remove the mop head and do a bunch of things. Excellent natural disinfectant and mop head is always clean.
You have a significant amount of plastic if you buy clothes anyway. I don’t think the mixture or the wash will affect the plastic more than usual. Of course I’m not sure, it really depends on the plastic. Do this then check for tiny scratches or weakness of the plastic. Higher quality plastic most likely won’t be affected by the technique. If you’re looking to be ecologically conscious, you can hand wash the mop in a bucket the next day, then air dry.
Why so many things? They used the same things to let it soak overnight and in the washer, not to mention that they brushed it by hand also. That seems like way too much work.
@@taylormeitzler2087 I wasn't referring to the chemicals used but all the steps. I've seen people who just let it soak for a few hours in those chemicals or for a few hours and then rinse or others who just put it in the washer and dryer only. I guess this way you can tell for sure it's clean.
@ch1ckmom217, I brush my mop heads out, because I have pets and I also have long hair. Sweeping and vacuuming gets most of the hair, but the occasional loose hair will build up on the mop head still, if not cleaned properly. It makes the mop head less effective when covered in hair, lint and debris. I use a brush to brush the embedded hair and debris out. You could really just use your hands (with gloves), but I feel a brush makes it a whole lot easier, personally.
@@ginay4662 I never thought of it that way. I have a cat and that's a great tip, I'm going to do that and with a brush too because it does sound easier. Thanks!
No. She squeeze it to remove dirty water in the inside. The wash was for the outside dirt. And the overnight soak was to remove as much dirt as possible. And dry was to dry it ofc
Please reply. I am waiting for your response. I haven't changed it as i don't know how to do it. I have washed it by soaking in warm soapy water, but it was not effective. So please respond.
@@rewachadha802 it really all depends on what mop head you have , sometimes you can’t which is fine , you can soak it without dismantling it . That’s what I do
@@taylormeitzler2087 Thank you very much for responding to my query. But now the question is how do you wash it, i mean what all you add in the water to clean it like liquid soap, baking soda or something else. Do you soak the mop, if yes, for how long ?Please respond.

No,my friend. It’s all wrong.First of all, you can clean it every time you are finishing the mopping and secondly after some usages you can wash it but not by using a whole washing machine for just one thing.
Dannggg for a second i thought it was naturally grey 💀
😂😂😂
Same 😂
I get grossed out about putting the mop head in the washer and dryer. I rather hand wash and dry flat.
whenever i wash cleaning towels in the washer, i put it on a cleaning cycle after. but i always lay them flat to dry too

Literally!! Just clean the mop with soap and water in your bucket!!
how do you get rod of the hairs stuck to it

the head should come off.
Is it a libman

Oxi Clean Revive White is all I’m gonna say 😌
Seems like a waste of laundry detergent pads
I just let mine air dry to not effect the plastic

Because mop heads soak up so much dirt , you have to use harsh chemicals in order for it to actually be clean

@ch1ckmom217, you’re very welcome! Be sure to do that outside, especially if you have allergies! I learned that the hard way, lol!
If the mop head is made of microfiber then you are ruining it with the bleach and dryer
Nah ion want to put it in washer cuz clothes go there. Was looking for alternatives to wash & dryer
Well a new one comes for only 30-40 RS (2 for a dollar), I will say the process cost way more than a new one😂, well still now good as new😅
Crazy you just dried a mop to wet it again 😂

It’ll get all stanky if you don’t guy wym
Save all the elbow work and put straight in the machine
I thought it says not to dry in dryer machine.
all that electricity and water wasted on cleaning one mop head!? boy! talk about wasting resources
But how did you dismantled the dirty mop?

Or you could throw it in the dishwasher or washing machine.
@@christiankeen1644 doing that won’t get it fully clean , it’s in the fibers of the mop head so they have to strip it like how they did in the video
Way cool 😊
WAIT DID U JUST MIX BLEACH AND SOAP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Laundry detergent and bleach, which is fine. The baking soda and bleach I'm not sure is safe.
@@priscillanieto3322 nope make gas

Nice, but don't forget to wear gloves.
Wouldn’t it be easier too wash it in a he machine ?
Love that!
ik ur house smells good 😂 thanks
Shouldn't have let it get so bad rinsing after each mop
adding to the todo list
Czyszczonko efektowne, ale to nie zmienia faktu, że takie mopy to tylko rozmazywacze brudu
So hilarious to see newbees, been cleaning for 32 yr, i say NOPE!
Then what do you suggest??
Now I know how to wash my clothes
Exactly yes 👍 así se hace
U will get a new one . 😂😂😂 Don't spend this much on detergent 😂😂😂
For the amount of detergent, baking soda, time etc. you can just go buy a new one
girl where are your gloves?? cancer has entered the chat... smh
Wow
Not the video I was expecting given the intro 😂
Do not use bleach
Why
Bc mine even if i put on machine with laundry liquid my mop still a little grey... So i put bleach

I wash my mophead by itself. There isn't anything else to wash it with
I wash mine on a small load
Throw it in the washer lol
How are you using your bare hands when you put bleach inside💀
Çok güzel
Gloves
Too much products and resources used, mind as well buy a new one
nasty you did not wear gloves
