Fun fact: I was on the receiving end of Joey Ramone's spittle at the San Bernardino (CA) Swing Auditorium in December of '78 ... front & center in the mosh pit. I was thrilled to find a bootleg (audio) recording of the show on RUclips recently! The unfortunate fact was they were opening for Sabbath, and the crowd was overwhelmingly pro-metal/anti-punk. Joey called off their set about 20 mins in when it became dangerous (whiskey bottles crashing through the drum kit, etc.). There are articles online with more details of the show ... would love to find an "I survived ..." t-shirt of the concert!

The first time that I saw a Punk band live was at Lollapalooza in 1996. I saw the Ramones, Rancid and Devo in one day. It changed my taste in music. I bought tickets to see Soundgarden and Metallica headline. Don't get me wrong both of those bands were good that night. The Punk bands on the second stage are what I think about years later.
Edit: Devo was a new wave band that had it's roots in the Punk scene.

      and nobody could tell
      So I spent every dime

I was in the Magic Kingdom
      Now I'm in the Carribean
      You get something really wicked
      when you spend an E-ticket
      High adventure on the sea,
but it's not the life for me
Now those harry tatooed pirates are all chasing after me
I was threatened with a knife by a pirate playing fife
Now I'm sailing for my life thanks to LSD 25
      Where can I hide?
      I don't want to buy a bride
      I'm alone as I float
Hey, there were others in my boat
Up ahead, one of the men
he said he would be my friend
He'd guide me to the hole
If I deeded him my soul
To the hole I didn't make it
That doesn't mean he didn't take it
      He laughed at my plight
He said you'll be one of us tonight
      High adventure on the sea,
but it's not the life for me
Now those harry tatooed pirates are all chasing after me
I was threatened with a knife by a pirate playing fife
Now I'm sailing for my life thanks to LSD 25
He was right, I'm still here
as I have been, for over a year
With my last bit of hope,
      a tin can and rope
I just want to break free
      But I can't get away
      No I can't get away
cause that damn dog's got the key
No one listens as I tell
of my ordeal in this cell
      They stand right by
      but they don't fell
      Is this for real?

There was a local concert venue in a recycled Navy sub test pool which resembled a skate park, but didn't quite work with the angles for a skateboard, but was so cool with the audience in the pool and the band up above.

For everything that Vegas has to offer, I’ve never been. This museum will get me there very soon

I grew up on MXPX, Misfits, Pennywise. etc. Looks like a cool place. Playing Mike's bass is just badass. As soon as you said Guttermouth "Lucky the Donkey" started playing in my head.
