I heard this only once in my life, during the month of December 1988, when it was used in the television commercials for Kings Island's Winterfest, a Christmas-themed winter attraction at the Cincinnati amusement park. For over 30 years, the only way I could hear it was from memory. That seven-year-old kid knew it was special, and this 41-year-old now treasures it as the theme song to a very special time in my life from so long ago. Today, I now have a name to that song. It was worth the wait. 😭
I am German,so please forgive faults... I am 62 now and this was my First LP. I Had the great oportunity to decide what i would like to Hear.i was about 4 or 5 years old and SINCE that this IS a piece of me. I got this wonderful piece Played by Adolf Scherbaum -mybe someone knows HIM? rs old i ffe
Concerto for Double Trumpet & Strings in C Major RV, 537 F. 9/1 Composed By: Antonio Lucio Vivaldi ( 1678-1741 ) (00:01) I. Allegro (2:55) II. Largo (3:44) III. Finale: Allegro
I believe this is a recorded version I heard many years ago by a group who called themselves simply "I Musici". It is a phenomenal performance, with the two trumpets quite distinguishable from each other. Not too fast, not too slow, no wretched trills that sound like donkeys braying, no silly virtuosity, just good music-making. Fabulous.
1) Adjust with your lips; do not alter the air stream. 2) You can lip slur using the same fingerings for both notes (2nd valve), as A is the 7th partial of 2nd position.
This was used as the Treasures Houses of Britain Exhibition theme music I believe-- fantastic show in Washington, D.C. in the 1980"s-- this was what they used when it was made into a special program on PBS-- terrific stuff!
This music was used during the bridal procession of Ms.Irene Marcos during her wedding to Mr.Greggy Araneta on June 11,1983 at their wedding in Sarrat,Ilocos Norte,Her father firmer President Ferdinand Marcos Sr. gave the bride away.
This is excellent. My second favourite version is the one on the soundtrack of "All The President's Men" - specially recorded for the film by the composer of the soundtrack (David Shire) in a kind of jam session with other musicians on the soundtrack!
This is perhaps the most briliant work of Antonio Vivaldi.(Though The Four Seasons is more popular). I'd like to know who is playing it. Can I have that information, please?. Thank you for uploading it.
With all due respect I've played second trumpet on this one several times and it's one of the easiest pieces for trumpet. Not too fast, not too much range. Just easy scales. To play it perfectly, of course is hard.
Me too. But just now I've realised it was familiar as I played this concerto as a teen in an orchestra. I can pick up the violin and play along with it but I would never have been able to name the concerto or composer. Weird.
Popplio was playing trumpet duet with alolan vulpix with this music in 3rd movement their mother was suprised their child was playing trumpet successfully
My high school orchestra and I are playing this for a concert. It's called Allegro in D Major, so it sounds a bit different. Plus, it's just strings and no trumpets unfortunately.
Yeah, this Vivaldi guy is performing at my local theatre, he's new and young, but I think he'll be pretty good. What's that? You say Vivaldi has died and his music is renowned across the world? Man, shouldn't I be like a fortune teller or something? Right?

I became a newspaper reporter because of "All the President's Men" and especially hearing this great Vivaldi tune.

Popplio was playing trumpet duet with alolan vulpix with this music in 3rd movement their mother was suprised their child was playing trumpet successfully
I believe that this is part of the Four Seasons.
Someone mentioned it appears at the end of a Four Seasons recording. However, it is a separate composition.
This is the Hold Music for DC Medicaid.

Concerto in C Major for two C trumpets?
I think the Valved Trumpet is in A, with Eb fingerings?
This is extremely difficult...
You should at least credit the artist that played on this recording!
All the President’s Men, anyone?
@epicyouman "ta-ee-ah-ee-ah-ee-ah-ee"
Shame we know pretty much NOTHING about the history of this piece...
Columbo brought me here.

Then you are not playing the same song.
