As soon as I win lotto I’ll be booking my 70 in for sure! 👍🏻
Big fan of LandCruisers and portal axles.
I did a double take when I read your title.
Great job. That is going to be nuts off road.
Yeah, great idea and being from Marks Adapters it will only cost as much as the original vehicle to buy.
Hahaha
It would be interesting to see the cost, handling, reliability and overall benefits in the long term, and i suspect this will be out of reach for the everyman..
Looks excellent! Ive ran portals on my favorite Mercedes machines, G Wagen and Unimog’s for years. My only concern is the lower output bearing looks pretty small.
This is really the main thing that has given grief over the years of portal development on the German portals we’ve dealt with.
If only we had these in the States for my 1972 FJ40.
You can order from Tibus of Germany. There is another American company too
With 35" tyres and 6" lift in the portals, does the kit come with a stepladder so that you can climb in?
So cool I'd love something like this for the 88 lux
Wow!!! This is so awesome. Any plans to make it available for the 80? Asking from America. Good work guys.
This will fit every Land Cruiser apart from the 200
The ultimate land cruiser!
That truck is so wicked!
Very cool product, any details around power loss through the portal gearboxes? Obviously this would be offset by the gear reduction (if running bigger rubber), but still wondering if you have dyno'd or measured?
Are those only for 70 series, or can they be used on other Toyotas? And can they replace the double wishbone setup on 4runners, prados and 200 series?
What sort of photography are you in to need such a beast of a transporter????????
KC Hose he’s a photographer for ARB
I like the Portals, but you don’t need them to run 35”, the tyres can be engineered without Portals. However having a Defender with MaxiDrive Portals I can appreciate them. What are the services intervals on the Mark Adaptor Portals?
While fitting a bigger tyre to the vehicle was one of the reasons, it was not the only reason for this rig. Please contact Mark's 4WD Adaptors with any questions - facebook.com/marks4wdadaptors/
What a beauty
how easy is it to snap that bracket that attaches to the lower part of portal axle ? looks like it would be pretty easy to get it snagged on something ?
I'm asking myself why Toyota does not import the Land Cruiser to Canada no more? I'm missing my old and trusty 1980 FJ-40!
Hilux kit please
Why do you say the hand brake (park bake) is a problem in these trucks? I am new to rear disk toyota trucks and I set the hand brake to come on with 4 clicks on a 100 series, and it seems it is tight and shoes are rubbing the drum.
Seems very interesting is it available for an aftermarket in the United States
Lol we don't have 79 series in the states
Should move up the rear leaf spring...
What's the cost for a complete job like this. I'm guessing about 10k
20-30k+
😅would it work for 42 inch tires
I wish that could be done here in the U.S.
Cesar Moreno it can be dynatrac builds them for jeep and others
Awesome bit of kit but as with anything there are always downsides... the unseen are the changes in suspension geometry and ride
theres an issue runming 35" tires on the road there? wtf! in the us i could drive a monster truck on the road legally lol, as long as it was based on some vin'd vhicle and had the nessisary brake lights, turn signals etc. actually ive seen things close to monster trucks on the road.
the portal axles are awesome tho! wish they were avalable here....as well as solid axle toyotas.....and diesel toyotas......etc
shonuffisthemaster dynatrac.com
Amazing
Do you have to factor portal axels in on your max legal suspension lift and tyre sixe?
Hey Chris, there is only a problem if a vehicle has uncertified modifications. This vehicle's modifications are engineered and certified via approved second stage manufacturers.
Do they do it for the jeep jk?
Dynatrac makes them for JK's
SWEET!
Would that not be a real beast!!😀
Are these portals available for the 200 series?
Hi Rob, these ones were done by the awesome team at Marks 4WD, so we'd recommend touching base with them. You can find their website here: www.marks4wd.com/
Without portals, it’s just a car. Yes, they make that much of a difference....
If you need a quote you can't afford it 😔
wow, that truck is clean !
#1
TOYT👍👍👍👍
4Wheeling Australia ....
when a fully developed country allows modification why not india where situation are more worse on road
Get rid of the rear leafs, biggest weakness of the 70 series.
“Marks4...”what?????
Ok thats new right?
Hmmm too much gears=fail i think
This my car's
land cruiser of 1994 to 2009 it is good only
Time to return to Toyota
Fantastic wait till the Department of Transport in Australia pull you over in your car gets towed away with every modification here being illegal
live loud completely false mate, portals are engineered and legal
GARBAGE.. SHOW ME THE SWERVE TESTING TO ROLL SPEED.
