I feel like Spam gets a bad rep cause people consume it wrong... it's pretty much just salted ham... a great ingredient, but not the best when eaten by itself...
The main factor about Spam is that, when unopened, it lasts a long time... for emergency disaster kits or situations like lock down, it's great to have on hand... but I honestly think people should treat it more like an ingredient than something to just eat on it's own... and I think this way for lots of canned food...

@@ethantran1395 well compared to ramen it really takes the spot, a single instant ramen packet has 1.7k to roughly 870mg but compared to a can of spam it's 4,7k.
basically you'll have to eat 2 and a almost all of another ramen to equal a can of spam, while you can eat more pieces of spam then say ramen itself.
if you add the packet that it comes with or any additional sauce for it then it'll be higher, same with spam but not as much.
in conclusion spam isn't really salty in terms of total salt in it not salty in terms of tasting
but it is is salty just like other meats

Spam musubi is where it's at. I don't like normal Spam, but the lite sodium one is okay. Put it with tamago/egg and sushi rice + nori, or Hawaiian style with charred pineapple over sushi rice and nori, and it's unbelievable.

As a local Hawaiian, I will give you tips on ways to eat spam
1. Spam musubi, you put spam on rice and wrap it with seaweed
2. The breakfast style what you do is you make rice, cook spam and eggs, and assemble. I recommend breaking the spam in pieces
3. Fried rice
Spam fried rice is absolutely bomb. Family is Thai American and it was a staple growing up.
As a husband too a Hawaiian wife I can verify all these spam meals slap
