for people who have hearty issues like myself , i am so grateful for people who devote their lives to making my condition better, bless these medical minds, great video
What a great teacher you are, though the video is about 9 years old, it still remains relevant and you're very good at keeping the attention of your pupils. It's very informative, but not in a boring way. You got me to do some research on more of this topic.
I sometime think at times it can be persons accidentally clicking thumbs down... it may not be every one but I do feel it is an error on some persons part
I'm reviewing for a test I have to take and pass in order to get a contract at a hospital, this video was very straight forward and informative. There are too many video's on this topic that include a lot of fluff and irrelevant information. The instructor reminds me of the instructors I had when I started my first nursing job 7 years ago. I had 2 weeks of classroom training that went into great detail of EKG interpretation. Mercy took over and they fired all the instructors, replacing them with computer modules. God be with you if you end up in a hospital today.
I watched this video when I first started working in critical care... it was clear, but I didn't quite understand what I was looking at. but after working and looking at the monitors... this is the best explained video I've seen... thank you
Thanks Jerrica, by now you are an excellent critical nurse. Please share your knowledge with other nurses. Before you know it you will be ready to take the CCRN exam!. Michele
I have pots and just all kinds of weird symptoms so I got a kardia 6L ekg monitor so far long qrs and atrial difibillation keeps popping up in just two days I’ve had it been all over the place trying to understand how to read the ekg just confusing til I started watching this God send of a angel who is blessed with knowledge and teaching. So far she has been the only one who I can understand and learn from about being more knowledgeable about what I am looking at. God bless this woman thank you so much!!
Extremely useful. Very effective teaching. Very practical. One can not forget many terms after seeing this video. Unlike other numerous videos, monitor is showing the rhythm Streep. This makes it more realistic, practical and effective. 👍
It is a blessing that people are willing to put all their time and effort into understanding the technical aspect of our body so that they can take care professionally based on what they can make out of the measurements from their equipment and tools. And the technical aspect of a human body requires a much greater feeling of responsibility because we are talking about human lives and not machines, infrastructure or architecture for example. Thanks for this video!
BRAVO 👏🏼❤️ I want to thank you kindly Nurse Michele Kunz for this informative and very well explained training video. I will continue to watch all your videos to review for my EKG state exam 🙏🏼
emi amida..SALAAM Sister MICHELLE, I have been in Neurosurgical unit,A/E unit,Medical ICu /CCU..and has been a Nursing Sister..your tutorial explanation on ecg reading is superb. Thanks Sister.GOD BLESS YOU.
michelekunz I recently passed my ekg course and I'm taking the aspt test soon...is there any advice you can give me?...this video was extremely informative.
I really enjoyed your video. Most paramedic have to discern the rhythm on the actually monitor screen first then confirm it on paper. So great work teaching it on the monitor screen.
Taking ACLS renewal tomorrow, this is a great refresher video for strips I don't see too often. Thank you so much! On a side note, every tele floor in every hospital should have one of these so that the staff can educate themselves when necessary,
I’m going to use this to help study for paramedicine and identifying irregularities or different heartbeats in general and being able to diagnose the issue at hand. Thank you, this was very well made!
Thank you Nurse Michele !! I have learned so much from your videos, and your note & study guides...I cant thank you enough!! I love watching the rhythms' as you explain them!!
On my way take my EKG test and wanted to thank you for this interesting video.I've watched many RUclips videos over the past four weeks while studying my books and written materials and this is by far the easiest one I've done so far. I just listened and learned. God bless you for your work.
@Goldenrod636 Hi, yes there is a ECG simulator that hooks up to the monitor/defibrillator. You can select a variety of rhythms and heart rates. This is what we use in ACLS courses and mock codes in the hospital teaching setting. Hope this answered your question. Michele
I finished my cardiac tech program 3 yrs ago and was looking for a refresher video. I give👏🏾👏🏾💯💯💯 to yours. I'm ready to complete my MA program and my desire is to work in cardiology and/or neurology sleep disorders, your video one of best.
What a wonderful way to help me understand second degree heart block! I've got all of the others down, but this is the first time I have been able to understand 2nd degree. Thank you!
hey hi there, madam. whats that second degree heart block , am curious to know, is it related to a third heart sound , lub-av valves closing and 'dup'- pulmonary and aortic valves closin , so is it related to heart sounds or...?tx lookin forward to ur reply.will b hlpful .THX! #medstud
All the heart blocks are related to slowing of conduction -usually after a myocardial infarction. Sometimes the conduction never gets through to the ventricles and we say there are more Ps than Qs. The heart rate gets very slow, and one does not feel so good and must be treated. Don't think there are heart sound changes- just rate changes.
Very informative indeed! Thank you so much for sharing ma’am! Thank you for sharing your expertise with everyone . Hope you make more future videos regarding SVTs and their possible treatments . I suffer from Tachycardia and I’ve been on Toprol to help keep my Heart Rate under control. If the med ever fails to help keep my HR under control, then what are possible treatments that can be administered ? Again, thank you for your expertise Michelle.
@Serpico261 Thank you so much for the nice compliment. I really appreciate it. I am so glad that you found them helpful. Joe and I work very hard on producing them.
Thanks hon. I am working full time as a medic now and as an RN you really don't get alot of cardiac training..thus I am a bit behind in my cardiac skills ...excellent videos for an educational boost!!!! :)
thanks so much for this video! it's hard learning EKG just looking at graphs drawn by professors so it's extremely helpful having an actual machine and explanation.
+Itzhelt Villanueva How did your EKG class go. Watching the videos after the class helps with more understanding and keeps the information fresh in your head! Michele
Hey there. I’m autistic and epileptic, but I really want to go into nursing. If you can make more of these kinds of videos or other informative videos on everything nursing, I’d really appreciate it. This is a good video I am a telemetry tech and we have to know these 100% and every year we get tested to make sure we are on our A game. We watch at least 80 souls with lots of monitors ❤
Thank you Mrs. Michele i loved this video a lot im not yet in the course for the training and the information that you have given was very helpful and i will be saving all your videos to my favorites list you rock. I cant wait till i take the class now thank you again
Well that taught me so much today because as a normal non medically trained person I thought this machine had 2 settings, alive and dead 🤦🤦 NEVER did I know there was so many different possibilities of what they can learn from those lines, absolutely unbelievable, absolute respect to you guys 👏👏👏
Hi Oana Maria, how was that emergency medicine exam. Thank you for your compliments. Have you checked out the heart block videos yet? Let me know what you think. Thanks. Michele
