Its a horror game, if the game was gorier and scarier it would be much better tbh. Thats why some people for example miss some of the old versions of the maps where lighting used to make a huge difference.

3 things: 1. I’m happy that the devs didn’t re-skin demo, 2. The haste perk would be good with save the best for last, and 3. Kinda wish they would have implemented a chest burster into the Mori. But over all exited to see this come out!
A chest burster would come from the face hugger, not the xenomorph
@@thomasandersen802 i also agree though that the chapter should have had little face hugger egg traps added around the map that spawn face huggers like Nemesis' zombies. If one lands on the survivor the survivor is inflicted with a status effect that they need to cure at med stations similar to the pig's face traps, and if they fail to cure it then they get insta killed by a chestburster. but oh well, happy we're getting what we got.
Would be cool looking out for those little buggers while running around :)
@@sergeantsonso3490 they didnt show it in this video but there's a face hugger on the map!:D not only that but jonesy has a rare chance of coming out of a locker when you go into one. someone's also said they found a keycard on a body you use to unlock the door inside the Nostromo for the golden toolbox but idk if that one's really true - then again this map features pipes you can use to stun the killer (as well as other survivors too!) truly the alien chapter will be amazing
I agree, the Mori is rather lame. Even if it doesn't make sense with the lore, a chest burster would have been more thrilling.
The nostalgia on top of design for this killer is overwhelming badass.

This looks incredible, I can't believe they actually managed to implement tunnels! So cool.
I also have a feeling the finicky nature of the tail attack is intentional. I bet it has a small hotbox to counter the borderline unfair range of it, so you have to be very precise to land the hit.

It looks kind of similar to Nemesis' whip. In a couple of respects the tail is better than the whip in that it actually directly injures and downs people on its own (versus the whip only hurting survivors who are already infected) and also the tail works from the outset of the game versus the whip which you have to charge up to get it to full range and power. On the other hand, once Nemesis has a charged whip, its ability to break pallets is pretty handy, so it's not obvious that either is better than the other overall.

Definitely like the stealth. Captured the fear of the alien crawling in vents. I wonder how obvious it sounds on the survivor side whenever you come out of a tunnel

I like the fact that the tail strike has a visibly smaller hitbox but a much longer range to strike, its clear that when you get usedbto it you can tey and dodge it, but the alien can also try to juke you and predict your moves, I wonder if it can catch dead hard though
tail attacks over pallets are hella nice! i know it’s not totally related but i love that behavior are giving voice lines to all the newer characters (at least the licensed ones) it’s very refreshing and gives the game a bit more personality in my opinion.
it's also such great respect to the killers and the actors who brought them to life like Doug Bradley doing Pinhead and nick cage doing nick cage.
I like how the perk blinds people, because in the movies when people are hiding, and they hear the alien near, a lot of them tend to close their eyes out of fear and breathe more heavily
I've noticed he has a sort of anti camp when using his vent things
Not to mention the perk Alien Instinct. Makes the furthest survivor oblivious, and you know where they are after hooking. This killer was meant for hunting survivors.

Throw Trail of Torment in there and you absolutely don't know where it's going to come from. You'll see a gen light up across the map and then it's behind you.

I love the fear the survivor shows during the mori, very real for being face to face with the xenomorph
Beautiful Mori, For years I was waiting for one day to get this killer in and I never lost hope, now that he is here it is just as I imagined it is perfect.
This Mori is perfect! It so simple in a sense, but it fits The Xenomorph to a tee I love it.

If you hang out in the tunnels, you can see their movement. It comes in these little circles above you. Its really cool. However, I think Ripley's perk does counteract this.
This is genuinely what the game needed, another high skill interesting character with interesting perks. The survivor perks are also FANTASTIC
Interestingly, with alien instinct, if there is only 1 survivor thats injured (outside of the one you hook) it wont matter that they are 3 feet from you, it will reveal them, i can see it having a few good applications in certain builds, especially the oblivious part
Hearing the alien breathing gave me alien isolation flashbacks playing survivor is going to be horrific
His power just feels like a more op demogorgon and im glad there adding gore into moris it gives more killer vibes from a killer
love the animation at the menu, perks arent too strong but useful, power doesnt seem too strong but viable, & the counter play/manual movement through the tunnels!
Super excited as an iconic killer & the map seems fun! Can’t wait for it to go live!!

I love the mori becuase its exactly what i was hoping for but there is 1 gripe and its that the xenomorph isnt nearly wet enough or doing the little lip tremble the animatronics did in the movies. overall i think thisll be a really fun chapter

I really hope they redo Sadako with a similar system where she can go into televisions and choose where to spawn out of. Maybe she can see out of all the TVs before leaving one, like scrolling CCTV screens
I'm not sure if you know it, but you can hit the survivors with the tail double the distance from a normal hit.
I think the alien carrying survivors by their neck is absolutely hilarious! Super love how they made the alien. I especially love how unique it is with the flamethrowers and tunnels.

I like the idea that they used idea from the demogorgon they had to remove for the whole legal reason and re introduce it into a new one with a fresh twist. It feel like it gives them the ability to use what was tested and right without making something that would be too newish that people would have a hard time getting around with it
The funny thing is... this can end up like the Demogorgon situation because of legal reasons once the license expires unless they got a good deal.

@docthefaust4519 I see it like worker bees or wasps. They are a hive mind creature that listens to the queen. All female and the alien reproduces asexually. They also need a host to hold their babies. Much like wasps do to some tarantulas. I could argue their larval stage face hugger is a lil male but then he die.
I honestly am imagining An ultimate weapon, iron maiden huntress load out. Could be pretty fun to try out
Stbfl, Coup and Rapid Brutality could be a nasty combo. The faster you recover from the hit the faster you can start to catch up, and the haste from RB should make coup lunges super long

I was thinking adding facehuggers to lockers to booby trap them would be epic. Prolly too OP, but a mere stun or something more sinister like a timer to kill the survivor if they don't find a medical kit of some sort would be super fun.
@@Puckix yeah i was thinking the same thing, the facehuggers hop on and fall off just like in the movies and a timer sets in and if you cant find the medcine in time its a mori and the alien pops through the chest that would be awesome

I love the Mori & I love the Locker Room perk where it will show people around. The Tail Whip seems super powerful. The tunnels scare me for my life as its right next to gens kinda like the Sadako. Map is very well detailed with some cool elements as well.
When i readed the title for the video, i only though of one thing: if they introduce the xenomorph to the game, they MUST to use the details from H. R. Giger, and, looking at the hooks from the map, i'm actually thankful that they put the details created by H. R. Giger in them 😌

There's already the flame thrower, however I th8nk it would be cool to be able to hack the control stations and have a radar item to let you know when xenomoeph is in tunnels ect. Radar is such a big part in the movies and other games seems like a missed opportunity
I know the turrets let you know when the Xeno is close. Pretty sure it works even if the Xeno is in the tunnels too.

It would actually be sick if it could cocoon a downed person and leave an egg near them that can hatch and leave them with with a face hugger if they aren't freed in time. Then they have 2 minutes to escape or they die. Gives him an extra gimmick, the tail attack and Tunnels are fine but it still seems like something is missing from his kit.

I see a lot of potential. The locker perk would pair incredibly nicely into a Huntress build. Monitor and abuse has the potential to pair very well with the natural ability of the Xeno to create an incredibly small stealth terror radius.
Possible build: monitor and abuse, hex: face the darkness, save the best for last and rapid brutality. You have a very small terror radius, everyone outside of that terror radius will scream every 25 seconds, once you spring on someone you hit them with an extremely quick basic attack gain haste and finish them with the tail whip.
I feel like the alien might be a direct counter to current high end survivor meta. When the best teams rely on constant map knowledge of where the killer is, his being able to quickly move anywhere on the map with no cool down or counter will make them work extra hard. The gorgon required you to lay down tunnels which took time to do and took time to build up a network. The blob could teleport through lockers but it made a lot of noise and could be slow, giving ample warning.
The alien can go anywhere on the map from the start without warning, gets faster when it hits you, has a quick way to see anyone who's injured anywhere on the map making them have to stop and heal, and the tail with practice plus the speed boost gives you a massive advantage in a chase against a good looper.
This alien in the right hands is going to be a force to be reckoned with. Sloppy butcher and nurses calling mixed with quick tail attacks and abusing the locker peak will give you infinite map knowledge on player location.
I am excited this will be a fun killer to go against. I can't wait to see the survivors perks!

So I have a question, when you do a PTB with a new killer and you upgrade them, do you keep all the progress when it officially releases? I play on console so idk how the PTB works I was just curious

I think this might be my favorite chapter yet. Omg imagine the cosmetics they can do, we can get a warrior or omg imagine the predalien as a skin even tho predator isnt in the game it would be sick.
Yeah can easily see predalien and maybe the different versions of this guy like the warrior xenomorph or the avp drone or the praetorian skin they did for avp 2010 video game mp

I think it’s just because he was playing him wrong, the range on the tail attack is insane when it’s used properly, it looks like it’ll take getting used to but Xenomorph looks like it’ll be really good

Not sure if anyone has noticed, but the Xeno's tail strike is from AvP 2010!
Ur tail atk can also hit survivors above the pallets and other things an it’s range is like nemesis but slightly shorter an u can use the tail to destroy turrets
I've already seen a few videos from other content creators about xenomorph but I like you're best, as always! Also, when it in the tunnels, you can see the footprint of survivors running above you I think if they aren't running the new perk Lightfooted
The best thing about this dlc is an animation with a cat in the lobby

at the end u used the tail attack correctly and at a good range but in the beginning u attack with the tail like u can with a basic attack almost the tail is like x3 range

I wonder if you can trigger Make your choice while in the tunnel.
Hook someone near the tunnel and instantly go in it and walk far enough then just come right back.
the xenomorph has been a fave of mine for years, playing as her in AvP or being scared out my mind in Isolation whenever she found my location... also of many sci-fi beings she's my fave as so much of her is found in nature that there's more chance of something like her out in the universe than say the Greys or Vulcans

Ultimate weapon seems like a good perk for the huntress and trickster since you try going into lockersto reload anyway

Think of the tail poke as a nemesis whip, like you can hit over small objects and can drag the hitbox

Ive been noticing people are playing Xeno like Demo. Ive been getting a lot more value running Aura perks (Nurses, Surveillance, Merciless Storm, etc) and staying in the tunnels and highlighting the control center that are near the gens people are working on then popping up, initiating chase, getting a hook then retreating into the tunnels. Its a different way to play DBD, but it works.
Also, run Cat Carrier addon...it will give you a HUGE advantage when coming up out of a vent.
Also the tail attack is op and makes him one of the best killers bc of the range. You can also hit through downed pallets with it.

Soo cool. It is not to clusterfucked with stuff in the kit but it also not just an M1 Killer. The creepy aura it has in its animations and sounds is so awesome ^^
I so hope that the prestigious skin or a skin in general will be the one where he has the predator razer net imprinted on it's head in green.
Also knowing how many variants of the xenomorph exist this killer has so much potential for costumizability.

Ya know... I barely got into DbD and have maybe only played 25hrs but something about SpookyLoopz's vids keeps me coming back and watching them.
I think the tail attack has a acid that hits like throwing a hatchet with huntress the way it looks maybe it’s a projectile mix?
I'm sure you've figured it out, but the tail attack isn't exclusively for close range attacks. Think of it like Nemesis' tentacle, but I think you can aim it up and down, but it also has a decent bit of range on it. Either way, if a survivor pops out infront of you, it's better to do a quick m1 and spare yourself missing a finicky tail stab when they're right infront of you

That's the coolest killer opening yet. Really well done. Do wish there was a map with facehuggers that could grip onto you like Victor though. Seems like a missed opportunity
